About this listen

Best friends. Unrequited love. A story that spans decades.

Wyatt

At 12, he was my best friend. At 16, he became my crush. And now, at 34, he’s the man I’m still pining after.

Falling in love with Easton was never part of the plan. But now that I’ve done it, I can’t seem to stop. It doesn’t help that we’re living under the same roof. Or that Easton is so dang sweet I want to lick him from head to toe.

But Easton is straight, and all the cattle in Texas won’t change the fact that he’ll never look at me the way I see him. I want someone who can love me back. And I won’t be able to find that while I’m hung up on my best friend.

It’s time to find a way to say good-bye.

Easton

I always knew I was a little bit different than everybody else. When kids my age were hooking up, all I wanted to do was sit on the ranch with Wyatt and plot out our future. I didn’t need anyone else.

When Wyatt leaves Plum Valley, he takes a piece of me with him. When he returns at the moment I need him most, he helps me to heal and feel whole again. We have a good life now, Wyatt and I, best friends still after all these years.

So when I happen to catch my friend down on his knees in the barn, I don’t understand why, all of a sudden, I’m thinking things I shouldn’t be. Now, I can’t stop wondering and wanting.

But would taking that chance with Wyatt risk the best thing in my life?

Fool Hearts is a small-town longtime-friends-to-lovers romance with a whole lot of pining, a bi-awakening in a barn, swoon-worthy cowboys, a roller coaster of emotions, and one very HEA. It’s book one in the Plum Valley Cowboys series but can be listened to as a stand-alone.

perfection

I listened to the audio book for Fool Hearts and it was FANTASTIC.🤍 this book tugged at my heartstrings. Easton and Wyatt grew up together. They were best friends since childhood. However, Wyatt had more than just feelings of friendship toward Easton. He went YEARS loving Easton from afar.

After being away for years, circumstances bring Wyatt back to Plum Valley. So much has happened between each of them and Easton feelings may not be quite as platonic as Wyatt once thought…

I loved everything about this Fool Hearts. I fell so in love with Wyatt and Easton. Their love is so pure and is built on such a strong friendship. Ugh I was swooning the whole time. If you love MM romance, friends to lovers, and mutual pining, READ THIS BOOK. 🥰

Amazing love story!

Talk about a fun sweet wild ride! This story really travels the gamut of time taking you through the trials of love and lives of the MCs and those around them. Honestly, it's such a sweet story with such a beautiful happy ending. I would really recommend this to anyone looking for a feel-good but also well thought out romance.

The kindness and sweetness of these country men is so all inspiring!

I loved the script from beginning to end! The characters are absolutely beautiful and are instantly imaginable. They showed tenderness, but also strength, resilience, masculinity and most of all pride in the long they shared . The storyline is a great representation of the longevity that exists in queer relationships and is a testament to the strength and perseverance of our community! I’ve no doubt I will return to this story again!!

Timeless romance!

Narration: Blake is absolute perfection! I loved reading this book, but I loved listening to it even more. The characters come to life and Blake’s voice has an emotional range that tugged at my heartstrings! And the spicy scenes were extra spicy in Blake’s deep voice. 100% recommend this audiobook!

Story: This is a new-to-me-author, and consider me blown away! This book follows two very best friends from childhood into their 40s as they navigate life and all of its challenges. Wyatt is in love with Easton from a very young age and Easton is, to put it nicely, completely oblivious. This book has a very hard earned HEA, with some hard things that happen throughout, but also some really beautiful things. This definitely felt like a soulmates romance - with a very special kind of connection between Wyatt and Easton. What I appreciated about this book is how carefully the author develops and grows that connection. The author also does a really great job at writing children - something that a lot of writers struggle with. This book will make you feel all the things! I couldn’t put it down!

My favorite M/M romance ever!!!

If I could give this book more than 5 stars I would! Sweet, tender, the right amount of angst, emotional, sexy, and the perfect happily ever after ending…all wrapped up with great narration! I can’t believe this is Emmy Sanders debut book. I’m so looking forward to more of her books!

Utopia

i loved it. I really wish the world was like this. I wish the unknown feelings were discovered like 5 years earlier, but it was worth it.

Great start to this queer cowboy series

I really enjoyed this story, it was great. Think of the movie Brokeback Mountain but it has a HEA. Thank God. This is Wyatt & Easton’s story. They are best friends & grew up together. Wyatt realizes he’s gay early in life and that he has romantic feelings for his best friend but doesn’t say anything cause he doesn’t want to ruin the friendship. It’s like that for years! (Talk about angst. I felt so bad for Wyatt at times throughout this book). life goes on. They go their separate ways for a little bit eventually coming back together. Poor Easton was so clueless for most of the book. I was glad when he got that wake up call, (although I wish it could have happened a little bit earlier in the book.) it had to happen & it all worked out in the end. There is talk of Easton being Demisexual in the book, which I appreciated. (Random thought but what was up with the word glands used in certain scenes? Iykyk. Surely there could’ve been a better word used.) Wyatt’s parents & Miller can kick rocks- I don’t forgive Miller for keeping the letter from Easton. I guess in the end he sorta redeemed himself but still. I loved Will. I hope he gets his own book eventually.

As far as the narration goes, it was really good. I enjoyed Blake Lockheart’s voice. I will say though if I wasn’t immersion reading this with the kindle app, I would have a hard time deciphering between the characters voices, and which one was speaking at times. Overall 4 ⭐️
