About this listen

"Where she goes, the Dead follow."

"As someone who loves my YA books, this is a great read that kept me intrigued and invested in the story until the very end! Truly one of a kind." (Early Reviewer)

"I truly enjoyed this story. The world building kept me very interested and it was a perfect blend of suspense and action." (Early Reviewer)

Welcome to Everhaven, with its cobblestone streets, white picket fences...and newly deceased citizens walking the earth. Seventeen-year-old Abigail Walters knows that after a resident dies, they will come to her, just as she knows she will always be an outcast due to her late father’s crimes and her close relationship with the Dead. What's more, she can't leave Everhaven no matter how badly she may want to. No resident can cross beyond the woods at its border or venture into the outside world. It's the way things have always been.

When a string of random deaths and missing corpses plagues the town, Abigail begins to wonder whether her own father’s death was truly accidental, or if he was punished for seeking something he was never meant to find. Unable to trust the authorities, Abigail embarks on a mission to finish what her father started; uncover the truth of a terrifying town conspiracy that threatens a fate far worse than becoming a restless corpse.

Unique and captivating story- Love it!!!

I can't believe this doesn't have more reviews! The author's got a way with world-building and rich, vivid language that's equal parts fantasy, science-fiction, and paranormal. There's a tinge of horror with ample suspense that sets this apart from other YA offerings. The imagery! The foreshadowing! The twists! The story brings you in and keeps you there until it's over and you're left wondering when the sequel will be released! It's If you're like me, you won't want to put the earbuds down for this one.

Not bad but not great

This was interesting to begin with but then it was just meh.

I couldn’t connect with the characters and this just got boring at times. I don’t think I’m going to continue with this series.
