About this listen

It’s not every day you’re invited to your wife’s wedding...as a guest.

The first time I saw Brinley Knox, she was crying, draped in a ridiculous pink tulle dress for her sweet 16, and cursing the boy who’d broken her heart.

I was the hired help, a teenage charity case. She was the daughter of the wealthiest family in Orchid Valley. I knew a girl like Brinley was off-limits. That didn’t stop me from kissing her. Or from promising that if she were ever mine, I’d never let her go.

The last time I saw Brinley, she was sleeping, tangled in the sheets of my Vegas penthouse, my diamond glittering on her finger. I returned three hours later to an empty bed, the ring on the dresser, and a goodbye note.

We haven’t spoken in the six months since, but I’m not the kind of guy who’d file for a divorce he doesn’t want. Until I got this damn invitation, it never occurred to me that Brinley didn’t remember our impulsive Vegas nuptials.

It’s time to return to Orchid Valley and remind the bride-to-be that I’m a man who keeps his promises.

Every Little Piece of Me is a sexy, stand-alone second-chance romance in New York Times best-selling author Lexi Ryan’s all-new Orchid Valley series.

good story

I like the protagonists struggle and character build up in this story. Young lovers that eventually ended up together. This is still true to some smaller towns like the setting in this book. I like how they both tried to prove themselves and in the end they still needed each other to complete that missing void or pieces in their life.

Entertaining

I know this is hard to believe, but Lexi Ryan is a relatively new author to me I cannot understand how that could be. From start to finish, I was captivated by the story that she wove, drawn in, I had a hard time putting this one down when real life got in the way.

I absolutely loved the continuation of Brinley Knox and Marston Rowe’s story. Although this can most definitely be read as a stand alone, I would recommend you one click Every Little Promise as it gives you the history of their relationship before reading this book.

I was fully invested in the story that Ms. Ryan told and fell hard and fast for both of them. This is one of those books that was a wonderful read and left me with a smile on my face. Brinley and Marston’s road to a happily ever after is rocky to say the least, particularly since it would appear that Brinley is unaware that the have been married for the last couple of years. This led to some humorous interactions . I loved the friendship between Brinley and her friends and is was great to see how much they had her back.

The chemistry between them was just as intense as previously and I was cheering for them to make it as a couple. Summer Roberts and Tyler Donne certainly brought the story to life for me and their narration was enjoyable to listen too.

Make your own family

I liked the story for the most part. The narrator's were pretty good. but it just didn't catch my interest where I couldn't put it down. it took me several days to finish it where I usually read a book thru in a day

A sweet second chance romance

Every Little Piece of Me is a wonderfully written second chance love story. Brinley and Marston are childhood sweethearts. Brinley is the daughter of a rich family and Marston is the hired help. A relationship between them is forbidden and eventually she ends things breaking both their hearts. Fast forward 10 years they meet and Vegas and share a passionate night together and end up married to one another, only Brinley doesn’t remember and is planning to marry someone else. Marston is not having it and begins to plan to make her remember. Boy, did I love Marston. He is the perfect, swoony hero that I love in a romance novel. He is patient, kind and loving. Brinley on the other hand grated on me at times, she was often stuck in her own head and had a hard time speaking up for herself. This couple has a hard road ahead to get to their HEA but the story telling was gripping and kept me wanting more. Overall I loved the Orchard Valley Crew and look forward to reading more books in this seres in the future.

The only fault in this audiobook is that Tyler Donne’s voice didn’t match the image I had for Marston. Summer Roberts played Brinley perfectly!

Liked It

First, this a book that I am going to listen again because I dozed off for a bit and when I woke up again, I realized I missed what appears to be some interesting events. At any rate, enjoyed the beginning as well as the end of the book. I also liked the characters including Brinley's friends. I sort of felt bad for Marsten Rowe, as it seems he bends over backward for Brinley, and she didn't seen to appreciate his efforts and attentiveness towards her. The writer did a good job developing the characters and the narrators did not disappoint. The writer and the narrators are new to me

Sizzling and Emotional Romance!

I am a huge fan of forbidden and second chance romance so this was absolutely perfect for me! It is everything I crave in my stories with the perfect blend of heartbreak, humor, and heat!

Marston and Brinley's story begins with the prequel:
~ Every Little Promise

Marston and Brinley have an unexpected reunion one night in Vegas, ten years after they split up, completely brokenhearted. Back in high school, they were each others first loves, seeing more in each other than anyone else. But he was the bad boy, hired help from the wrong side of the tracks, and she was the untouchable, privileged princess. They had an instant fiery connection that was doomed from the start. Now they have a second chance to reconnect and they feel the sparks that never died. They only have one night together, and now that Marston is a successful businessman, he feels he is finally worthy of Brinley and is determined to make this night into so much more. But Brinley has secrets that hold her back, no matter how her heart yearns for him. I was completely captivated from the very start, and the ending left me craving their story even more!

~ Every Little Piece of Me

Marston and Brinley's story picks up six months after their Vegas reunion when Marston is invited to his wife's wedding to another man! Marston promised her years ago, when they were young lovers, that he would always fight for her, and that is what he intended to do. He flies back to Orchid Valley only to find that Brinley doesn't remember the wedding that meant everything to him. He is determined to fight for her and prove they are meant to be together forever. But Brinley's up coming marriage is more complicated than he imagined, and a secret she has kept from him could hurt more than anything. Not to mention her parents still have a hold over her and 'the help' will never be good enough. The connection between Marston and Brinley is so electric, they can't stay away from each other as they figure out how or if they could ever overcome the forces that are still working against them. I loved the way Ryan told this story in flashback sequence, helping us understand their relationship, past and present. We see their blossoming love, and all the heartbreaking events that tore them apart. There are so many intriguing facets to their story that held me completely captive from start to finish. I loved all their friends who were so fun, loyal, and supportive, making the perfect springboard to more exciting and steaming romance stories.
Summer Roberts, and Tyler Donne narrate this beautiful second chance romance. They easily brought out all of the different emotions that Brinley and Marston felt, from courage to vulnerable, heartbreak to passion, and everything in between. I really enjoyed both their performances.
I loved this heartwarming, emotional, and sizzling romance, and I can't wait to read more from Orchid Valley!

We make our own family

3.5

My favorite quote of the book. Brinley is the sister that lived so living her life to make others happy and when she try’s to live for herself she is always torn down mostly by her father or his voice in her head. Marston loved Brinley since the first time he saw her crying at 16. Loved the character development and the story looking forward to finishing the series.
