Publisher's summary

"If you're broken, I'll fix you . . . "I'm only twenty-one and already damaged goods. A slut. A failure. A disappointment to my picture-perfect family as long as I can remember. I called off my wedding to William Bailey, the only man who thought I was worth fixing. A year later, he's marrying my sister. Unless I ask him not to . . ."If you shatter, I'll find you . . . "But now there's Asher Logan, a broken man who sees the fractures in my façade and doesn't want to fix me at all. Asher wants me to stop hiding, to stop pretending. Asher wants to break down my walls. But that means letting him see my ugly secrets and forgiving him for his.

With my past weighing down on me, do I want the man who holds me together or the man who gives me permission to break?

Great Story!

This was a great story. It was emotional and heartbreaking. Maggie suffered so much as a young girl. Asher enters her life and helps her learn to love again. I do think there was some things left unanswered.

LOVED how this story unfolded!

If you could sum up Unbreak Me in three words, what would they be?

This is not your conventional girl next door meets bad boy romance. I like that Lexi Ryan stepped outside the genre characterizations and created her own story. I do like that each character evolves and learns from their pasts.

What other book might you compare Unbreak Me to and why?

I don't compare books.

Which character – as performed by Nelson Hobbs and Lucy Malone – was your favorite?

Lucy Malone brings light to stories in all her characters and I always enjoy a performance by her. She is very easy to listen to. I believe this is the one of the first performances I have heard by Nelson Hobbs and I have to say Asher is beyond my favorite!!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Not worthy of a film.

Any additional comments?

This is a good solid love story ....great narration.... story line is interesting enough ... worthy of a credit or sale.

Former bad girl and former bad boy. Can they be good together now.

Enjoyed the mix of characters. Asher and Maggie are great together and deserve to lose the past and embrace the future.

Loved this book 4.5 stars!

What made the experience of listening to Unbreak Me the most enjoyable?

I loved the different POVs in this book. It worked surprisingly well being in the head of Maggie, her ex-fiance Will and Asher the rock star. It is a different kind of love triangle, while I am sick of the overused concept this one was special. You got to learn where Maggie came from through her eyes and the eyes of those closest to her. I could understand her feelings for both men and it didn't seem forced. This story allowed a broken girl to realize that life can be better.

I liked that I didn't know why Maggie was filled with such self-loathing until later in the story and that I got to learn it piece by piece. Her hatred of herself didn't ruin her character for me which is rare.

It was a well narrated book with 2 readers 1 reading Maggie's chapters and the other reading the males. Both were easy to listen to and did not put on overly fake voices for the other sex. I would listen to them again.

Great NA book that brings something memorable to the genre

PHEWEEE, WHAT AN INTENSE, RAW & DRAMA FILLED RIDE

Maggie and Asher's love story is both beautiful and heartbreaking all at the same time as the bad boy rock star slowly crumbles the walls that years worth of hurt, manipulation and pain has forced Maggie to build around her heart in order to survive the loss of so much. Constantly being taunted and labelled as being 'loose' and much worse she acts out the part..... but only Asher can glimpse the real woman underneath.

This is such a pain-filled journey of growth and discovery as truths are finally freed, revelations are shockingly discovered and hope finally sees the light of day as Maggie struggles through her past to claim not only her life back.... but her future happiness too. There's laughter, pain, anguish, sex and heartache but what you get at the end of it is a satisfaction that you've just listened to a book that was very skilfully written and narrated from three people's POV's so you get the full depth to the picture of just where everyone's heart and feelings are.

Worth a credit? Hell YEAH and I'm now off to listen to Lexi Ryan's second book in this remarkable, addictive and mouthwatering Series.... yaye lucky me!

Love it!

I read this book years ago and found it on Audible. Listening to it made me remember how much I loved it when I read it. Definitely a must read and if you don't have time to sit and read it, listening to it is just as good.

scandalous!

Good love story, good characters! I felt bad for Maggie; what a crazy life!
Loved Asher! Asher didn't care about Maggie's past & just wanted to be with her.
So many twists, so much dysfunction and downright scandalous.

Unbreak Me gets 4.5 stars from me.

The story is told from 3 different POV's, giving us the opportunity to witness first hand what each main character is thinking & feeling. I really enjoyed the storyline. It’s about growth and forgiveness. It captivated from the beginning the story draws you in, it left wanting more after each page, there are lots of twist and turns and it's a roller coaster ride of emotions. The book begins with Maggie returning to New Hope for her sister Krystal's wedding. Her wedding to Maggie's ex-fiance Will. Poor Maggie....she's been through a lot. She was so broken. Made to believe things about herself that stemmed from an unsavory tragic event that she experienced when she was 15.
Maggie ends up meeting Asher during the wedding. We find out that Asher actually lives next door to Maggie's parents. He's a former rock-star with a past of his own. He see's the real Maggie. The Maggie beyond the broken spirit. The Maggie with a kind heart...that wants more then anything to be loved. Maggie & Asher's relationship really starts to blossom when Maggie begins to come to terms with the things that happened in her past. She learns to let go so that she and Asher can have something beautiful together. Overall, I found this book endearing. It’s sexy, passionate as well as tender and emotional. It involves a young woman’s journey from a past where innocence was violated resulting in years of unwarranted guilt & despair. It involves a painful secret, one that’s heart wrenching, so be prepared!

Cute Story

I like how Lexi Ryan took an example of a situation (that is more common than we like to speak of) and brings the type of balance these characters need to move forward.
