About this listen

In this companion to The Universal Christ, Richard Rohr and Patrick Boland offer 40 reflections and practices exploring what it means to live "in Christ".

In his landmark book The Universal Christ, Richard Rohr articulated a transformative view of what it means to recognize Jesus as "Christ" - as a portrait of God's constant, unfolding work in the world. Now, in partnership with Patrick Boland, a psychotherapist and member of Rohr's Center for Action and Contemplation community, he invites listeners to engage with the themes of the book through spiritual practice.

Each reflection in this book draws on a key passage of The Universal Christ, paired with prayers and embodied exercises that invite listeners into a more personal encounter with the truth that the presence and compassion of the Christ are in every thing.

Whether heard daily for the season of Lent or explored over the course of a year, Every Thing Is Sacred is a hope-filled journey into the love at the heart of all things.

It has been very meaningful to listen to this during Lent. I appreciate this book so very much. It completely resonated with me.

I love doing this during Lent

Great, however, the voice becomes very robotic, primarily due to the reading “parentheses” so much. Did not have this problem listening to intro.

So useful and now accessible.

Fr. Richard's work is always provacative and inspiring but this audiobook was such a disappointment. The reader constantly repeating "quote", "unquote" was so distracting as to totally blur the powerful message that Fr. Rohr puts forth. I would totally discourage anyone from purchasing this audiobook. Buy the actual book to read and find wisdom and encouragement galore. I did.

A terrible shame

Someone else wrote this book, yet the name of RICHARD ROHR is written in huge letters on the cover. The author kept quoting Richard, and it was impossible to listen to and get into a smooth flow with the teachings while the narrator mentioned every quote and unquote. Egads. This should not be an Audible book. I stopped listening after 30minutes. But, I couldn't return it. Do not get dupped into thinking this is Richard Rohr's work. The author may have a good grasp of the teachings, but his name should be in bold letters on the cover, not Richards.

Not Richard Rohr's book.
