Five unabridged dark tales from Stephen King:
Everything's Eventual features Dinky Earnshaw - a 19-year-old delivery boy - who gets hired by a mysterious stranger for a unique and totally "eventual" (awesome) job. Read by Justin Long.
Autopsy Room Four. The last thing Howard Cottrell remembers is entering the woods to find his golf ball. He wakes up as he is being rolled into an autopsy room. Read by Oliver Platt.
The Little Sisters of Eluria. Roland is a gunslinger in a deserted town when he gets ambushed. Read by Boyd Gaines.
Luckey Quarter. Darlene is a single mom struggling to raise two kids on her income as a chambermaid in Reno. When Room 322 leaves her a quarter for a tip, Darlene lets that quarter take her for a ride. Read by Judith Ivey.
The Road Virus Heads North tracks an author who buys a creepy painting at a yard sale, which was painted by a metal-head neighbor just before he committed suicide. Read by Jay O. Sanders.
Intense, eerie, and instantly compelling, these five stories announce the stunningly fertile imagination of perhaps the greatest storyteller of our time.
These unabridged selections also appear in the print edition of Everything's Eventual. More unabridged stories from Everything's Eventual are available in Blood and Smoke, Riding the Bullet, "LT's Theory of Pets", and "The Man in the Black Suit".

Critic reviews
"Each of these stories draws the reader into King's slightly off-center world...developing characters and atmosphere more fully in the span of 50 pages than many authors can in a full novel." (Amazon.com)
"The author is not only immensely popular but immensely talented, a modern-day counterpart to Twain, Hawthorne, Dickens...No one does it better." (Publishers Weekly)

What did you love best about Everything's Eventual?
I love the Dark Tower connected stories. What did you like best about this story?
I liked the unusual talent of Dinky Ernshaw. King could've gone with any number ofWould you listen to another book narrated by Judith Ivey and Oliver Platt ?
I choose audiobooks mainly for the author, unless they are read by Frank Muller. After hearing King's Dark Tower series read by Mr. Muller I became a fan.If you could take any character from Everything's Eventual out to dinner, who would it be and why?
I only received five of the Everything's Eventual stories, so when I get the rest (apparently there is a second audiobook I have to purchase to get the entire book, WTF) I'll let you know.Any additional comments?
I've heard a version ofLove King stories, hate who presents them

Years ago I listened to this before my DT Journey and I loved the first story - read by Justin Long (WHO NEED MORE NARRATOR WORK!). I still love that story and now I believe that the main character may be a Beambreaker.
"Autopsy Room Four" - Solid story, great narration by Oliver Platt. Still a joy the second time, but not as great since you know the ending.
"The Little Sisters of Eluria" - I hated this story the first time through, however, I was pre-Dark Tower. Now, I loved it and it is now my favorite of the collection. So, context is everything folks.
"Luckey Quarter Darlene" I was underwhlemed by this story both times I listened to Everything's Eventual.
"The Road Virus Heads North" - Fantastic. Loved it both times.

These tales are brilliantly conceived, executed, and presented; and I will be indulging in more shortly!

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
Not so much.. the first 2 stories, was read in a very monotone manner; so much so they I couldn't get much out of them.. they neither of them seemed very Stephen King like.. best I can remember anyway.. I tried to listen to both of them twice and when I just couldn't stay interested the second time around, I moved on to the 3rd.. So far not great, but not as bad as the first two..What was most disappointing about Stephen King’s story?
I just couldn't get interested even after trying to listen the second timeWould you be willing to try another one of Judith Ivey and Oliver Platt ’s performances?
Sure.. I dont think it was there performance exactly but the content in which they were readingCould you see Everything's Eventual being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
Not really, but if it was, I would try watching it..Any additional comments?
hoping the rest of the book gets betternot one of the best..

In all honesty, the stories are not what I would call real horror. The closest thing was the "Autopsy Room 4" story. But I found them interesting and very imaginative.
Hard to stop listening...
