About this listen
Twenty years ago psychic Sarah Summers fled from the evil that lurked in the woods behind her childhood home after it killed most of her family, but a nasty divorce and financial hardships forced her back when nothing else could have. With her son, Jeremy, she returns to her grandmother's dilapidated house and tries to begin a new life.
She meets a police detective, Ben, who falls for her, and she prays her fresh visions of bloodshed and death deep among the dark trees are not true. Then the murders begin again and Sarah is hurtled back into the familiar nightmare that has haunted her her whole life. The evil in the woods is awake again...and this time it wants her last remaining brother, Jim; her son...and her. With Ben and Jim's help can she defeat it this time...and live?

Story
Abigail Sutton's beloved husband walks out one night, doesn't return, and two years later is found dead, a victim of a long ago crime. It's made her sympathetic to the missing and their families. Starting her new life, Abigail moves to small town and buys a fixer-upper house left empty when old Edna Summers died. Once it was also home to Edna's younger sister, Emily, and her two children, Jenny and Christopher, who, people believe, drove away one night, thirty years ago, and just never came back.

Filled with mystery and intrigue!
Kathryn Meyer Griffith is a wonderful writer, especially with any story that involves mysteries. Evil Stalks the Night is filled with suspense and a thrill ride. It flowed smoothly and was easily drawn into this mystery.
Narrator Kimberly Henrie did a great job. Her voice kept me enthralled from start to finish. Listening to her voice was like watching and visualising the story as it unfolded. A great story and a wonderful performance. A perfect 5 🌟 rating.

CREEPY AND FASCINATING!!
Really enjoyed this one! Well written, enjoyed the narration, great suspenseful story. You'll think twice about goin in the woods at night after this one! Not just surface creepy, intense creepy. If you love creepy stories, you'll enjoy this one! I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who likes the genre, I may even read it again! I admit, I was a tiny bit bored at the beginning but stuck with it and was SO GLAD I DID!

Super spooky
What made the experience of listening to Evil Stalks the Night the most enjoyable?
I loved the main character, she was really easy to relate to.
What other book might you compare Evil Stalks the Night to and why?
Stephen King's It, also about a scary as heck creature that kills little kids in horrible ways.
What does Kimberly Henrie bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Listening to her voice is like watching a movie. It's effortless, and if I close my eyes, I can easily visualize it.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Not laughing or crying, but there was a point where I had to take a break because it was so scary. Seriously, I'm a mother of a young boy who lives near spooky woods...
Any additional comments?

Super Creepy!
I really liked this book. It was super creepy. I thought the characters were well-developed, and I loved the character of the grandmother, as well as her relationship with her grandkids. The book kept me engaged, wanting to know what would happen next. It has a twist at the end, which I never suspected. I listened to the Audible audio version and the narrator was enjoyable to listen to. She had a nice voice and good character differentiation. I would listen to more books narrated by Kimberly Henrie, and I would definitely read more books by Kathryn Meyer Griffith. I really enjoy her books.

Scary and unpredictable!
Would you consider the audio edition of Evil Stalks the Night to be better than the print version?
Yes, but I always prefer the audio versions. They feel more real, if that makes sense.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Evil Stalks the Night?
I don't want to give away the story, but there is one part with this little girl in it that completely freaked me out.
What does Kimberly Henrie bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
She made me feel more connected to the characters. She did a very good job.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes

So creepy :)
Actual rating 4.5 stars
This book made it official, I am a big fan of Kathryn Meyer Griffith! This was my third book from this author and I've loved each one. It was such a creepy story, and not at all cheesy. The book starts out a little slower, with a lot of set up for the rest of the story. It didn't take long to get really interesting though. I was hooked early in and couldn't stop listening. I love characters that have abilities of some kind, so I really liked that the main character was psychic. The narrator of the audiobook did an awesome job and was perfect for this story. I really enjoyed this audiobook, and I will be reading another book from this author soon!

Suspenseful Supernatural thriller
When financial hardship leads to Sarah and her son Jeremy moving into her deceased grandmother's house, something is set into motion that it's too late to stop.
Evil stalks the night, people are dying, and while Sarah thinks she is the only psychic, Jeremy is having all kinds of experiences of his own.
How will they stop it? How many people will have to die before they figure it out?
This is the first book I have read by Kathryn Meyer Griffith, but I will definitely be reading more.
I enjoyed the plot, the characters, and
when I browsed through lists of her books it looked like they hit on some great topics like witchcraft, psychics, and even vampires. One of them that caught my interest even has something about old Egyptian magic!
Also, Sarah seems to be a character in many of the books and reading a book where the main character has my name amuses me!
