Sorry to say not happy with this book

Don’t want to spoilt the book for anyone that hasn’t listened to it yet, but I found Sophie’s actions kind of gross and out of character. I’m really not happy with the ending.

Best of the trilogy. Will there be another?

Lots of plot resolutions in this 3rd book of the trilogy. Not sure if a fourth book is intended. Plenty of directions for the story to go.

What Happened ? I am so saddened

I feel so apprehensive writing this review. I don’t write many reviews because I love books so much and I know it is one’s own imagination.
However, sadly, after the first two books, that I was absolutely and completely dedicated to these characters.
I wanted to see Sophie end up with the man of her dreams. I wanted them to figure out which time they wanted to live in. I wanted so much for them.
As a lover of the time travel genre, Exile really has me confused.
I thought about writing to the author, Rosalind Tate, and asking her some questions, but I don’t want to be offensive.

I am really curious about a few things. I feel like there was some political correctness that had to take place because that’s the modern world we live in that really did nothing to uplift the story.
I feel as a Bible believing Christian. I am even more confused with the 666 reference.

I’m not such a prude that I don’t read fantasy and I do watch television programs in the same genre I was a Game of Thrones fan.

Maybe listening to it audibly, it loses something and maybe I need to see the written word, but essentially I feel being told that the characters you love had lineage from the devil (Lucifer), really puts a bad taste in my mouth.
It was not a great story line, even if that doesn’t bother you. Good verses Evil can be very interesting story lines but this wasn’t that.
I don’t think I am going to get the next three books and I was ready to make the purchase.

I can’t guarantee I won’t because I would love to see what happens to the characters but today I don’t think it’s a purchase I would make.
I wish we could as readers talk, so if anybody has anything to help clarify things they might have understood from a story, that I missed.

This book went off the rails in ways that did not elevate it and I don’t understand why an editor wouldn’t have helped the author more.

So much went that has nothing to do with the original plot and it’s sort of ends it for me.
I don’t want post spoilers, I’m really disappointed and sad. I’ve spent all these hours with these characters and now I have to say goodbye on a bad Note.
Maybe another genre as a pallet cleanser and I will fill different. I hope this is read with sincerity of a personal opinion and not meant to be derogatory to the author. I love these characters. I will miss them.
Lastly Katy Sobey is amazing as a narrator and I will go look for other books from her. When she does each character voice, you know who it is by the by the sound the accent the cadence. She just nails all the voices and I loved that as soon as the talking started in that characters voice, you knew who it was she is amazing.
