About this listen

“Taylor is one of today’s premiere authors writing about the world of special ops.” (Associated Press)

Former Special Forces officer Brad Taylor’s thrilling new novella sets Pike Logan and Jennifer Cahill against a Serbian gang that makes the mistake of kidnapping someone they both hold dear.

Pike Logan and Jennifer Cahill are no strangers to international conflict, but this time they’re facing a threat much closer to home. Amena, the young Syrian refugee they have taken into their care, is having trouble settling into her new life in South Carolina. As they all struggle to figure out the bounds of their new life, a fight with Pike sends Amena running to the streets of Charleston, where she befriends a girl and her Serbian guardian who may not be as harmless as they seem.

Pike, wild with worry over Amena’s disappearance, makes it his mission to bring her home safely, but she is in much more danger than they realize. To make matters worse, classified nuclear information may also be on the line. While Pike is on the warpath, Amena learns of the Serbian’s true nature and the terrible "exit fee" he exacts from girls who don’t play by his rules.

Now it’s up to Pike to find her - but the risk will be much higher than he imagines.

Includes an excerpt from Brad Taylor's upcoming Pike Logan thriller, Hunter Killer.

Outstanding story!

One of my favorite authors each book gets better and better. I don't know how he does it. I highly recommend reading every book in this series.

This one is about Amena

Amena is the 13 year old Syrian refugee that was the subject of Daughter of War which was Book 13 in author Brad Taylor's Pike Logan series. The Pike Logan series is one of the very best espionage series. EXIT FEE is a 2.5 hour novella that deals with Amena in the US living with Pike Logan and Jennifer Cahill. This audio book includes a 45 minute preview of Hunter Killer which is Book 14 in the Pike Logan series and which is scheduled for release early in 2020.

EXIT FEE is a seriously outstanding novella. The cost is a full Audible credit and it is worth it!

Excellent short story with a great back story

Excellent book - The best part - the characters and plot | I like shorter novels and especially those that get to the point fast - The characters are established from the previous book in the series and the storyline fits perfect with current events.

Narration is top-notch as always!

Dangit Brad I cried.

Loved it. Just like all of his books. But with the addition of Amena these books get even better. The comedy, the heartbreak, and the cuteness that kid adds to the story line really brings it all together. It used to be all about the action, but now you got my feelings too, which really pulls on the heart strings and makes this an even more complete series. Bravo sir. Keep it up. And as always Rich Orlow does a phenomenal job at the narration.

Taylor is seriously gifted

Loved it. Looking forward to Hunter Killer. Best series out there. After many years of reading the thrillers, Brad Taylor has moved up to my favorite. Pike and Jennifer are, by far, the best fictional couple. The mini stories are fabulous entertainment, and give the reader really great background on their favorite characters. Thanks for another winner Brad......so happy you chose to let us keep the doodlebug

I feel cheated

I really love the Pike Logan series and typically skip the .5 books because they aren’t long enough, but I bought this one because I wanted to hear the character development of Amena. I am so disappointed that this novelette really didn’t develop Amena and that the time included a portion of Hunter Killer. I didn’t see that in the advertised plot line. I feel gypped.
