About this listen
The book of Exodus is the second book of the Bible, found in the Old Testament. It tells how God rescued the Israelites from slavery in Egypt through Moses, his chosen prophet. The book records some of the most famous stories of the Bible such as Moses and the burning bush, the 10 plagues on Egypt, the parting of the Red Sea, and the giving of the Ten Commandments.
It is a story of redemption and deliverance that’s symbolic of how Jesus has delivered us from a life of sin and freed us through his death and resurrection on the cross.
The Bible is not just a book. It is the word of God, the ultimate source of truth, wisdom, and guidance for humanity. It is the story of God’s love for us and his plan for our salvation. It is the foundation of our faith, our hope, and our purpose. The Bible is God's word and it has the power to change lives.
But don’t take our word for it. Listen to what some of the most influential people in history have said about the Bible:
- “The Bible is worth all other books which have ever been printed.” (Patrick Henry)
- “Within the covers of the Bible are the answers for all the problems men face.” (Ronald Reagan)
- “The Bible was America’s basic text book in all fields.” (Noah Webster)
- “The whole hope of human progress is suspended on the ever-growing influence of the Bible.” (William H. Seward)
The Bible is not only relevant for the past, but also for the present and the future. It contains timeless principles and practical advice for every aspect of life: relationships, finances, health, work, ethics, spirituality, and more. If you want to know what's to come, need to understand who Jesus is, have fear or anxiety, feel empty inside, need love, understanding, peace, joy...the Bible holds the answers you need.
The Bible is different than every other book. The Bible is a living book that speaks to each person individually and personally. It reveals God’s character, his will, and his promises for us. It convicts us of our sins, comforts us in our sorrows, and challenges us to grow in faith and obedience.
The Bible is the very essence of Jesus. It is about him, but there is more than that. It is God’s conversation with us. It is alive. It is active. It is a two-way conversation. Through the Easy to Understand, Read Audio Bible you have the opportunity to hear God speak to you. It is not just a book you listen to once and put away. It is a book you study, meditate on, apply, and share with others. It is a book that transforms you from the inside out.
When we need wisdom, insight, guidance God has given us the Bible. It’s a powerful and intimate way to listen to him and it is the primary way God tells us about himself. The Easy to Understand, Read Audio Bible is a tool God can use to speak to you. Each one of the audio books is an invitation to hear what God is saying to you, and can help you become closer to him.
Are you ready to experience the power and beauty of the Bible for yourself?
Let God speak to you today through Exodus and all the other books from The Easy to Understand, Read (EUR) Audio Bible.

Story
Most historians agree that John Mark is the author of this account of the good news and it may have been one of the first Gospels written. What also distinguishes this book among the other Gospels is the emphasis of the suffering of Yeshua. This could have been due to the fact that during the time in history around 65 AD, Christians in Rome were experiencing great persecution. Some believe that Mark was attempting to emphasize Yeshua’s suffering in order to bring comfort and encouragement to the Church which was suffering as a whole.

The ancient Toltecs believed that life, as we perceive it, is a dream. We each live in our own personal dream, and these come together to form the dream of the planet, or the world in which we live. Problems arise when our perception of the dream becomes clouded with negativity, drama, and judgment (of ourselves and others), because it's in these moments of suffering that we have forgotten that we are the architects of our own reality and we have the power to change our dream if we choose.

Story
Just before Christmas in 1843, a debt-ridden and dispirited Charles Dickens wrote a small book he hoped would keep his creditors at bay. His publisher turned it down, so Dickens used what little money he had to put out A Christmas Carol himself. He worried it might be the end of his career as a novelist. The book immediately caused a sensation. And it breathed new life into a holiday that had fallen into disfavor, undermined by lingering Puritanism and the cold modernity of the Industrial Revolution.
