Publisher's summary

What if Mr. Darcy had insulted Elizabeth's beauty at the Meryton assembly, choosing instead to honor her with a dance? What if Elizabeth, her mind unclouded by prejudice, had dismissed every slanderous word from George Wickham against Darcy? Imagine if, through the course of their interactions, Elizabeth found herself so captivated by thoughts of Pemberley's master that, as his visit in Kent neared its conclusion, she found herself not just hoping for, but expecting his proposal.

Elizabeth’s feelings for Darcy are apparently from their first meeting.

This was a short story that was enjoyable from the beginning. The narrator makes the story come to life.
