loved this book. the suspense and action was awesome and is a highly recommended listen or read

There’s a bad guy (shooter, bomber, dognapper, hoody-wearer) loose on a army base. We follow a few low-life officers claiming to want to catch him yet their efforts are incredibly minimal and ineffective. (Sadly, even the dogs ignore their duties). As listeners, we’re drowned in romantic syrup. A reporter and her protector benefit from the threat as they indulge in puppy love and we get aural diabetes.
This is a tweenager’s comic book love story and thriller in audible form. It can be a fun listen if you make big allowances. The two common issues appear: short-bus morons become adults, are somehow given important jobs and maintain the sexual naïveté of 12 year olds. You’ll have to enjoy hearing teen angst like a dog likes sniffing poop. You’ll have to accept that our military can identify and stop criminal threats like IDF protects civilians.

I'm glad that this book wasn't a repeat of the too stupid to live, characters, in the two previous books in this series. This one had plenty of action and suspense. The characters were NOT stupid, and the situations were realistic when they were attacked or in danger. Enjoyed this book in the series.

I liked this one because it wasn’t so much about the Red Rose killer, I’m ready for him to be caught. This one had more exciting things going on. Less praying than the others, which seems more normal to me.

What an awesome book, so well written. With fully developed and realistic characters. I loved the setting and how it took place on base.

This book felt more realistic than the others because it included more scenes with investigative techniques and proofs. The story was along the same pattern as the others but more interesting because the characters were more well developed and worked through their issues without a lot of over the top angst. The plot was still somewhat unrealistic, but at least the military investigators seemed competent. The romance was believable and characters likable. I didn’t hit the 30 sec advance at all unless I list my place. 😀

This is such an exciting series. I can’t stop listening! I love how all these authors have gotten together to share this series. It’s exciting, heartwarming, and very suspenseful. Lynette Eason is one of my favorite authors, but through this series I have been introduced to other great authors. Ok, I have got to get to the next book! 😂
