About this listen

A young co-ed is raped by a country music legend in Branson, the “NashVegas” of Missouri. Ignored by the police, she turns to TV newswoman Sandy Collingsworth for help. Sandy’s investigation stirs up a hornet’s nest of corruption and crime, putting her in the mob’s crosshairs...something her boyfriend Wyatt Storme, a freelance troubleshooter, won’t abide. Storme rolls into Branson like a hurricane with his buddy Chick Easton, an unhinged ex-CIA operative, to settle the score with his own brand of justice.

The third novel in the acclaimed Wyatt Storme series. Previously published under the title Electric Country Roulette.

Critic reviews

“Storme is one of my all-time favorite series characters, up there with Spenser and Dave Robicheaux.” (Ace Atkins, the New York Times best-selling author of The Forsaken and Robert B. Parker's Cheap Shot)

"Here's one for the boys who love to kick butt...Storme has the catlike moves of the early Spenser, before he got to be such a prig.” (Kirkus Reviews)

"For those of us who still feel an ache for the immortal John D. MacDonald, there might finally be a replacement on the horizon." (Tampa Tribune)

I'm hooked!! Definitely worth the purchase!

As I started to listen to this I was worried the narrator's deep voice might be too distracting, or monotone, or put me to sleep... I was wrong. The narrator was a perfect compliment to the characters in the story. The writing and narration had me hooked. The story is based in the 90's, but it's not distracting and could definitely be relevant today. I'm excited to continue the series!

Oh My Gosh, this series is excellent!!

I'm not listening to this series in order. For some reason, you have to work to find all five books. I was on a mission and this is the second book in two days that I have devoured. This. Is. An. Excellent. Series.

For starters, Wyatt and Chick could not be better main characters. One is an ex-football player with a right-the-wrongs complex. The other is ex-CIA with the know how. They blend seamlessly together and bad guys do not stand a chance.

There is a lot going on in all of the books in this series. This one though, wow, it gets dark. There is still mirth and banter and excellent storytelling and the dark just makes this book next level and real.

Through it all, the narration is what knocks this story out. of. the. park. It's too bad most of Turner's books are Westerns. I'm not a fan of that genre but his voice could make me a believer.

This is an excellent, excellent, excellent story!!!!!

Awesome adventure.

Eye of the Storme is the 3rd book in the Wyatt Storme thriller series and it is one heck of an adventure. In this volume Wyatt receives a call for help from his reporter girlfriend who is investigating a potential sexual assault. But that's just the tip of the iceberg. I was already a fan of the series from listening to the first book in the series a while ago, but volume was even better. Featuring a great story that kept me listening for hours on end. Complex characters that you'll both love, and love to hate. If you enjoy men's adventure I can't recommend this series enough. I truly hope they record more of them. As for J. Rodney Turner's narration, it's excellent, and absolutely perfect for this genre. He becomes the character of Wyatt Storme.
