After a stint in the private sector, working at the largest hedge fund in the world, Nora Carleton has returned to her former role as a New York City federal prosecutor. And she's arrived just in time to face one of the most dangerous domestic terror attacks in the history of the city.

A threat is building in the city, with far right extremism powered by internet demagogues and funded by shadowy organizations. Together with legendary investigator Benny Dugan and aided by colleagues at the FBI, Nora builds a case against the key players in this burgeoning movement, arguing before a jury that some speech is actually a deadly crime. But the menace taking root is far bigger than any courtroom, and as the militants target an upcoming United Nations rally, Nora and her team must race to disrupt the plans and minimize casualties.

At once a fast-paced legal thriller and a close look at the very real perils of political extremism, FDR Drive harnesses former FBI director James Comey's life experience to tell an authentic and compelling narrative that listeners won't soon forget.

liked the plot, but some of the humor was a little amateurishly "too cute by half."

action , which is not to say what I liked the most

The characters are realistic and the plot engaging and timely with our current political climate. The narrator did a wonderful job by giving the characers their own personalities, reading at a good pace and easy to understand. I've loved the previous Nora Carleton books and hope there are more to come.

More Nora Carleton books please!!

A great read well with gearing!! I found it fascinating and timely. I found the narrator a bit too cutesy for an Assistant U S Attorney but overall she did a very good job.

This is an exceedingly well crafted book, timely in this dark time in our history and written by a true American hero!!

Great Story

Topical and timely subject matter. Also, the author finally understands that you can’t just have every bad thing in the world happen to the protagonist (like in book 2).

Much better than the second book

Listening to this was so much better than watching the news...though it parallels the news in so many ways!

whew! breathtaking!

good story, interesting characters drawing on current events & figures in the news. i found the narrators' attempt to use various accents was distracting not additive to the story-telling.

good story, holds your attention. a little deep into complex legal process for lay readers.

I’m from New York. I get it but the profanity got so bad it detracted from the story. Tone it down. The voice used is not the best projection or pronunciation for the main story line. Unfortunately we understood Benny the best.

Tooooo much profanity!

This was a fun read with enough excitement to keep me interested. I felt a little wistful, however, thinking deeply about Mr. Comey’s tale of uncovering a single villain and emerging with at least some good news. I do not believe that there is only one villain or villains on only one side in our current divided nation, but it was uplifting to contemplate possible happy endings.

Nice entry in an enjoyable series

The story became convoluted with including too much legal jargon. Almost seemed like the legal info was to impress reader of writer’s knowledge. At times, It was more like watching/listening to a real trial. The ending also seemed rushed. Too much info about secondary characters. The F-bombs were many, seemed extreme and unnecessary. I was excited for the book release but disappointed after reading.

Too many F-bombs, not entertaining as much as previous books
