About this listen
I am dumbfounded that this is the same demanding grump I used to work for.
Now he’s holding my child’s hand like a loving dad but it’s all pretend, right?
I marched into Mathew Greyson's office demanding I get my last paycheck.
Even if he let me go, I still deserve to be paid the hours I worked!
Instead I get finagled into being his fake fiancé.
Putting my pathetic high school drama skills to test,
My children and I need to convince Matt’s parents that we are in love.
And excited to become a complete family.
Shopping sprees and makeovers done!
We are ready for the best performance of our lives.
But our late night talks before falling asleep in the same room are way too comfortable.
And when I cling to him on his Harley I feel a long lost stirring in my soul.
Then when I watch him interact with my children, with so much joy, it melts my heart so quickly.
It’s crazy to think that the insensitive man that fired me is the same man I’m falling for.
I wanted nothing to do with him but now I can’t imagine life without him.
Fake Fiancé to My Boss is a sweet, clean romantic comedy with family drama and laughter.

Story
Lana Fleming’s sister has vanished from the set of TV’s hottest show, and no one seems to care. Desperate for answers, Lana sneaks in as an extra, only to get stranded with Griffin Hart, an A-list action star with a reputation for good abs and bad decisions. Though Griffin didn’t expect to be cast as a librarian’s sidekick in a real-life thriller, he’s weirdly into it—and into her. Even more unsettling—she sees right through his playboy persona. But their meet-cute soon turns deadly when they uncover a Hollywood scandal for the ages.

Story
Liv’s happy with life in her thirties. She has two cats, one BFF, and no boyfriend, which is just how she likes it. Plus, she loves working at a not-for-profit software company where she can be her authentically autistic self. This is her happy ever after. But when her beloved firm merges with a repulsive rival, Liv finds herself competing with her sort-of-ex for the top job. Sure, Finn had been Liv’s best friend, with his nerdy good looks and their shared love of Tolkien, but there was that one night, their song, and … well, she doesn’t like to talk about it.

Story
Meet Randi Burnett—she’s brilliant, she’s beautiful, and she works for the bride. Missing groom? Intoxicated in-laws? Crying ring-bearer? You name it, she wrangles it. Too bad her personal life isn’t thriving like her side gig as a bridesmaid for hire. Recently dumped, Randi throws herself into her biggest challenge yet when she’s hired as a maid of honor and pretend best friend for an ice queen bride. There’s just one problem—the best man is infuriating, overprotective, and anti-marriage.

Ryder, Garrett, Kenzo, and Diesel - The Vipers. Their deals are as sordid as their business, and their reputation is enough to bring a grown man to his knees, forcing him to beg for mercy. They are not people you mess with, yet my dad did. The old man ran up a debt with them and then sold me to cover his losses. Yes, sold me. They own me now. I’m theirs in every sense of the word. But I’ve never been meek and compliant.

Just poor
The AI narration is awful on top of an underdeveloped storyline and characters. I hate not finishing any book and regret that I listened to the entirety of this one.

Loooooooooooove it
Such a great listen. This book took me on a journey for sure. I really wish we had a Sarah and Vanessa Fight. It would have been great.

Has potential but...
The AI narration was terrible. It constantly confused pronouns. I was never sure who was talking. It was difficult to follow the story line and badly needed edited.

AI reader is terrible!
The story was okay. It was very predictable and I don’t recommend it. Spend your time staring at a blank wall would be a better use of your time!

Great story hate the AI
It really needs real voices. The story so interesting and well written had to ignore the AI though. I hope Ms King can correct this in future books as she is great writer.

Good story but hate voice
I think this is a generated voice and I think it’s okay but it was so monotone and kinda annoying after awhile. I think the story was good though.

I couldn’t get past the narration
The narration in this book was hard to tolerate so much so I got halfway through the book and just stopped. I like to know how it ended, but I couldn’t tolerate the narration and any longer computer generated narration is exactly that without feeling without anything.

Read by a computer???
Cute story. BUT the fact that it was read by a computer/AI was totally distracting! Please reconsider this type of delivery. It takes away from enjoying and getting caught up in the story.
