About this listen

Brought to you by Penguin.

Over 1 million Discworld audiobooks sold – discover the extraordinary universe of Terry Pratchett’s Discworld like never before.

'Sorry?' said Carrot. If it's just a thing, how can it commit murder? A sword is a thing' - he drew his own sword; it made an almost silken sound - 'and of course you can't blame a sword if someone thrust it at you, sir.'

For Commander Vimes, Head of Ankh-Morpork City Watch, life consists of troubling times, linked together by...well, more troubling times.

Right now, it's the latter. There's a werewolf with pre-lunar tension in the city, and a dwarf with attitude and a golem who's begun to think for itself, but that's just ordinary trouble. The real problem is more puzzling - people are being murdered, but there's no trace of anything alive having been at the crime scene.

So Vimes not only has to find out whodunit, but howdunit too. He's not even sure what they dun. But soon as he knows what the questions are, he's going to want some answers.

The Discworld novels can be listened to in any order but Feet of Clay is the third book in the City Watch series.

Pratchett at his best

The Watch is the best discworld series and Feet of Clay may just be the best Watch book. A clever story full of twists and wit. The performances are fantastic, even giving life to characters I found uninteresting when I read the series years ago. You can’t go wrong with Pratchett.

Wonderful narration for a wonderful story

A great mystery, a powerful message, and delightful humor. I will never get tired of hearing Sergeant Detritus’s voice done this way.

another instant classic from Pratchett

The storyline, the narration, and the energy put into this audiobook reading is a phenomenal combination. Whether you've never read a Pratchett novel or if you know every book by heart, this is one the whole family will cherish.

One of my favorites

Personhood, agency, copper shenanigans, intrigue, punching authorities in the face, common people, theological debate, golems, werewolves, gender, it’s got everything you could want in a story and then some!

Standout excellence!!!

This is easily one of the very best and a favorite of the Watchmen series! Brilliant and perfect performance by Jon Culshaw. Everything about this story, its pacing, character development and narration excellence is just fantastic . Culshaw delivers an astonishing number of extremely well done different character voices and acting.

It’s so true

Another masterpiece. You can hear and feel it, the truths of this universe reflected in the one that he writes into life.
Powerful, insightful, relevant, real.

Thanks again, Terry.

Performance lacks Pratchett’s quick-witted energy

Every character performed as world-weary, exhausted, and in urgent need of a hug and a nap.

Anticipating AI and workers rights with trademark hilarity

I had only listened to the abridged version of the story. So glad to have the full story now. I found myself wishing for Michael Briggs as narrator, but I wrap pretty good. Except The way this narrator plays Angua sounds simpering. Otherwise, it doesn’t get in the way of the story.
