Publisher's summary

With Field of Graves, New York Times bestselling author J.T. Ellison goes back to where it all began.…

All of Nashville is on edge with a serial killer on the loose. A madman is trying to create his own end-of-days apocalypse and the cops trying to catch him are almost as damaged as the killer. Field of Graves reveals the origins of some of J.T. Ellison's most famous creations: the haunted Lieutenant Taylor Jackson; her blunt, exceptional best friend, medical examiner Dr. Samantha Owens; and troubled FBI profiler Dr. John Baldwin. Together, they race the clock and their own demons to find the killer before he claims yet another victim. This dark, thrilling and utterly compelling novel will have readers on the edge of their seats, and Ellison's fans will be delighted with the revelations about their favorite characters.

1st Taylor Jackson book NOT 8th

Another great Taylor Jackson story, but it should be listed as the first in the series not the last. Ellison does a great job of introducing the characters and story lines in this one. Make sure you listen to this one FIRST!

Should be the 1st Book

While this was good - it’s misplaced in the series. Given the story, it should have been 1st because knowing what happened in the book prior to the characters it is a bit misleading and confused what we already know.

Good book but should be first in Taylor Jackson series

Would be far better as the first book in the series as opposed to the last.

Good book!

I have read all of the Taylor Jackson series and I have loved them all. However, this book contradicts what the other book say. Only a few things but it's annoying how they don't match up

Great story!

I really enjoyed learning the backstory of Taylor and Baldwin. I sure wish this series didn’t have to end.

What Happened? THIS is Book 1

As others have noted, Field of Graves is really book one. I stumbled across the Taylor Jackson series with book 3 and bought the first three so I could listen in order (it is what we book readers do with series). The "first" book, All the Pretty Girls, kept making detailed references to past story lines for both Baldwin and Jackson, so I was convinced I missed something somewhere. I kept searching for another Taylor Jackson story that might explain the confusion but could not find anything. I feel like this book was written but for some reason never published until it was added as 8th in the series. Please renumber these for the sake of your readers/listeners!

The story is good, albeit confusing at times. Baldwin's story does not align with the story told in a previous book that goes into great detail about the tragic loss of his team. Which one is true? Again, it makes me think this book was written first but never published. All the ideas in this book have played out in others but many with different details.
