Publisher's summary

All his life, people have told Jamie Cole that he was born bad. Maybe it's true, maybe it's not. But that doesn't matter now. Because after a lifetime of demons, Jamie has finally found an angel.

Ellie Pearce learned the hard way that boys can't be trusted. But the night she meets Jamie, something shifts. He's different: brooding, a bit dark, determined to change. The connection they share is intense, compelling. Ellie tries to resist, but with each breathtaking kiss, she can't help falling deeper.

Things between Ellie and Jamie are perfect - and perfection can't last. When fate goes horribly wrong, Jamie's only hope of saving his family is to strike a deal with the devil. Most of all, Jamie wants to prove he's the person Ellie believes him to be. But if she learns just how much he's been hiding, Ellie won't be able to believe anything Jamie has ever told her.

Great Read

I remember reading this online before it was published. It’s one of my favorites. I can’t wait until Nothing Left to Lose is on audible. I’m so proud of you Kirsty!

2 Stars ⭐⭐🎧

Oh man, I wish I loved this book.
I bought it so long ago I should have listened when I got them together. Because I know I will not bother with book 2.

I outgrown some of my favourite authors, and that's ok because it will open my mind to new authors.

Jamie is just getting out of prison at the ripe age of 18. But his life had been a struggle for a while, and jail made him see who he wanted to be.

I loved this part. I didn't particularly appreciate how fast we met Ellie and how they were each other's worlds.
How does he get roped into saving his mom, and for what? To ruin his life?

Ellie is 17 and in her last year of high school, and already that makes me think she isn't old enough or has enough life experience to understand Jamie… But how can she when he never tells her either right??

Then we have her parents and, that mother, and her ex-boyfriend. Of course, we need a bad guy, right?

Sigh, I loved the narration. That is the kicker. The audiobook was fantastic.

On to the next.
