Publisher's summary

In File Zero, Agent Zero’s memory finally comes flooding back - and with it, shocking revelations about the CIA’s secret plot to spark a war and to take his life. Disavowed and on the run, can he stop them in time?

When an incident in the Strait of Hormuz threatens to mushroom into an all-out war, Agent Zero’s memory comes rushing back, and with it, a chance to uncover the plot that caused his memory loss to begin with. Discredited, with few friends left, Zero is on his own as he tries to stop the CIA while also saving his targeted family.

Yet as he digs deeper, another, more nefarious, plot comes to surface, one which will require him to trust no one, and to risk it all to save the country he loves.

File Zero (Agent Zero, Book 5) is an enthralling espionage thriller that will keep you listening late into the night.

Fun series

The 5th book brings the conclusion to the mystery that began in the 1st. I thought the story ended well overall and I enjoyed the performance in each of the books.

Another 10 for 0

I have been reading/listening to the series faithfully and have yet to be disappointed… Stories are eerily following our current events… Yes agent zero is like a cat with nine lives… But it is still exciting to see how he gets in and out of hot spots

Good to wrap most of the storylines up.

Most of everything seems tied up. where do we go now? Are both of his girls going to become agents?

Becoming my favorite author.

I seem to love everything Mr. Mars writes. I even listened to some of his first series twice! Please keep writing.

could be great

Jack could be a premier spy thriller writer with the likes of Thor or Taylor. He misses on small details that could easily be researched. Those small mistakes will turn some readers away. I also wish that he'd bring back Eduardo Ballerini to narrate.

Naïveté or sheer stupidity

Sooooo - you know that many - if not everyone of the government leadership & agencies is part of this grand conspiracy - yet - you, as top spy, believe that you can convince the president of the conspiracy with no proof. And your righteous indignation believe that you (by yourself) can stand up against said leadership & agencies. (Mid read review) I’m going to finish the story to find out what majick & wizardry will wind this up at the 11th hour.

My only problem is the new narrator who reads female voices as automations. Actually only the main character has a natural voice flow. Everyone else sounds like they speak with exclamation points and raised eyebrows. This is why the low score for performance.
