Review Gone Forever

I enjoyed this story but he sounds a lot like Jack Reacher . Have only listened to this first story. I will try another one.

Meh it was okay

It was okay, a little slow in the middle. But it was a good read.

Pretty good first book.

Not the best I've listened to, but not the worse. Book was pretty slow and not enough action. Hopefully, the rest will be better. The narrator was not that great, in my opinion, did not fit the character.

Recommend for all lovers of the Reacher Series

We’ll written with a good story, characters and narration…hoping it hits the levels of the early Reacher stories

Great addition to Jack Reacher novels

Was very good to read about familiar characters, and to extend the Jack reacher novels. I am excited to read more. I am hopeful they are willing to collaborate, and bring the two characters together occasionally!

Great story, poor editing.

The story was a winner, too bad there were so many continuity errors. Timelines screwed up. Prior events referred to incorrectly. A little bit of editing would have solved everything.

I like it.

Personally I thought it was a great book. Very immersive and descriptive. I understand the people who say it's a Jack Reacher ripoff but that doesn't mean it has nothing of its own to offer. Haters gonna hate.

Good story but I did see some things coming

Narrator did an excellent job.
A bit too much monologue about unimportant things. Tends to loose momentum because of it.
At one point he says never surrender your weapon because your both dead and later he does exactly that. But not bad book if you are having Reacher withdrawals. The writer is learning.

Fun Reacher-Style Story

Clearly takes overwhelming inspiration from Jack Reacher, which I would expect to bother me, but which I actually found to be delightful. By embracing that inspiration rather than trying to obscure it and pass one over on the reader, Blade has not only avoided my scorn, but won me over.

The stories in this series are simple, rarely divert from the protagonist, and fairly short, all qualities I look for in certain circumstances.

I listened to a number of his books out of order, and arrived on this, the first in the series, after getting to know the character a bit. It didn’t seem particularly consequential, but if you’re interested in checking out the series, start here.

Oh, and the narration from Alan Philip Ormond is fantastic and even has vague similarities to Dick Hill, which I also found amusing and enjoyable.

Hoping audible picks up the rest of the series soon, I’d gladly purchase the rest.
