Hero Club
He looks like he belongs on stage, stripping out of his firefighter uniform, not running into a burning building to save me. But thank God he did.
When the smoke clears and my eyes focus on my savior, one look at his gorgeous face and tattoo-covered muscles, and I know he’ll be too much for me to handle. It’s a good thing I never have to see him again, right?
Except, losing my home to a fire means finding somewhere new to live, and guess who just happens to be my new roommate? Hayden Flynn. The filthy-talking firefighter who’s been front and center of all of my dreams lately.
Our attraction is undeniable, but it’s the adventures he takes me on that has me falling for him, each new experience chipping away at the wall I’ve been hiding behind.
He wasn’t supposed to see past my scars.
He wasn’t supposed to break me apart piece by piece, then put me back together again.
He was just supposed to be a firefighter. I didn’t expect him to end up saving my life, in more ways than one.

Hayden Flynn is a hunky firefighter who is totally swoon worthy. When he rescues Adele, from her house fire, he is attracted and intrigued by her but unfortunately she is transported before he gets a chance to really talk to her or get her name.
When fate lends a helping hand Hayden and Adele meet again, becoming roommates. Set in Hermosa Beach, it was great to catch up with Chance, Aubrey and of course their goat Pixy. I loved seeing what they were all up to and the fact that Adele is his sister just added an extra layer for me.
I kept reading way into the night as I had to see what was going to happen next; I really didn’t want to put it down. That is how good this book is, with strong writing and characters that draw you in, you cannot help but become invested in the story that Ms.Louise weaves.
Filthy Firefighter invoked laughter, anger, sadness, pride and disbelief whilst reading. Adele has overcome so much and my heart went out to her as she struggled. The chemistry between Hayden and Adele was instantaneous and it continued throughout the book.
It was an entertaining steamy read that left me with a smile on my face.

I really enjoyed Hayden and Adele. Hayden is a cocky but still a sweet southern gentleman to his core. Adele has made enough mistakes in her life so she is playing it safe. She has a safe job, dresses safe, and avoid risks. This was a quick story but it worked. Once you started the story it sucked you in. Hayden pushed Adele and bought her out of her shell. They complemented each other well. This was the perfect mix of heat, emotions, and story telling.

The past is consistent. Adele continues to suffer from guilt at what she put her brother Chance through by being an addict and getting her brother thrown in jail because he wanted to avenge her. In this story, Adele meets firefighter Hayden who is such a wonderful character- a flirt but oh so sweet- he treats her so well and while he has a difficult family past, he helps Adele get past hers. I loved their interactions although the woe is me aspect of Adele drew on a little bit too long, in my opinion.
The narration was good. I normally love Christian Fox but I have to say, his narration of Adele's voice was not great- it was shrill and the accent was just odd. And then, his rendition of Hayden was smooth and gorgeous so it was such a difference that I felt like there was too much of a difference. Michelle Ferguson did pretty well playing all the characters. Overall, this was a good audiobook to spend the approximately 5 hours and i'm happy I had audible escape so I could borrow it!
