This was not written by Clive Cussler or even in the Clive Cussler style. it is very evident in the story. I am aware that Cussler sells his name to help get authors published and noticed. However, he typically chooses authors that stay true to the Cussler writing style. This was not. It had all the normal characters, however it struggled to keep my attention. If you are an avid Cussler reader, as I am, I would not recommend this book. You will be disappointed.

Having said all that, if you listen to this book as if it is just an action book written by someone, it is pretty good. My disappointment is only in the fact that it was not on the grand level of a Cussler novel.

Narrator has pleasant enough voice but the characterizations were all off. Not very good accents or female voice, plus loads of really odd pronunciations! It made me REALLY appreciate Scott Brit’s narration (which admittedly too me a while to warm up to.)
Sorry but I cannot recommend this book and I will be looking into where “abridged” was listed.

This book was good but the story was kind of slow for my taste. Yes, I'm a knock down, take no names, reader. The saga was well written and had a good plot. Also it was a little short for a Cussler endeavor. Overall I enjoyed it anyway.

The narrator’s voice would be perfect for bedtime stories. I was getting drowsy. He got better near the end. This is not the typical reaction one should have with a Clive Cussler novel. This story seemed abridged.
