About this listen

’Tis the season for mulled wine, mince pies, and magic under the mistletoe…

Flora loves Christmas more than anything else in the world, so she’s gutted when her Scrooge-alike boss fires her from Deck the Halls Christmas emporium. But now she finally has a chance to follow her dreams – and what better place to start than the home of Christmas?

Before she can say ‘sleigh bells’, Flora’s on her way to Lapland in a campervan-cum-Christmas-shop. She can’t wait to spend her days drinking hot chocolate and taking reindeer-drawn carriage rides, but something Flora didn’t expect was meeting Connor, a Norse god of a man who makes her heart flutter and snowflakes swirl in her stomach. There’s just one problem: Connor hates Christmas.

Can Flora convince Connor of the joys of Christmas – and will she find a festive romance along the way?

The perfect Christmas romance for fans of Debbie Johnson, Holly Martin and Jenny Colgan.

Narrator spoils experience

The story was ok - I love Christmas markets. I was totally put off by the gabbling of the narrator. It was a real turn off from the story.

Sweet Christmas Story

I don’t write a lot of reviews but this was exactly what I needed! If you are looking for a romantic Christmas story, this is it. I usually stick to my favorite authors but stumbled in this and honestly I judged by its cover and some good reviews. I loved the story. I loved learning about Lapland and van life. It wasn’t laugh out loud funny but the conflict was always amusing. Yes it is a bit Hallmark predictable but that’s what I wanted. I loved hearing about her Christmas shop. I loved the accent and positivity of the narrator as well!

Great little Christmas story

I really enjoyed this book. The main character reminded me of a Bridget Jones character. It made me smile and laugh several times. The narration was great. It was truly a Hallmark story and I loved it!

Good story, narrator was a speed reader

I’ll start off by saying that I did enjoy this Christmas story. The narrator reads very quickly to the point that this was not a book to listen to while drifting off to sleep.

Festive Christmas Story and Main Character Too Much for Me

I really wanted to like this and the overall plot is fun and for sure festive! If you love Christmas movies, you’ll love this! For me, I just couldn’t get past Flora being too catastrophic; guess I have that enough in some people around me in real life.

Fun!!!

Happy Christmas listen! Main character is ditzy and as likable as she could be. Narrator is absolutely perfect!! Unusual setting adds an interesting facet to the story. It is interesting that this book does not take itself too seriously…. It knows what it is… a light Christmas romance story.

Cute story about personal growth and belief in the magic of Christmas

It started out rough, I really didn’t like Flora. I almost stopped listening. But I’m glad I kept going. About chapter 8 was when it started getting good.

However, later in the story the author takes the Lord’s name in vein several times, which I didn’t like. Thankfully it was a clean romance and the author didn’t do anything in the story that made me blush. But I did laugh, several times!

I loved the descriptions of Lapland. Now I wanna go! Lol
