Publisher's summary

Siddique has a problem. He's fallen for his best friend, but she has enough troubles. He loves her daughter too, secretly wishing he were the little girl's daddy. He’s no longer the shy, immigrant boy with the funny name whom Melly befriended. But if he opens his heart, will she take her daughter and run?

Melly has several problems. At long last, she's putting her life back together. She isn't surprised at how good Siddique was with her daughter, but when did he become smoking hot? If she falls for her best friend, she just might scare away the only person still speaking to her.

But undeniable sparks fly, and they have to decide - play it safe and settle for friendship? Or take a chance on love?

Fly and Fall

If you could sum up Fly and Fall in three words, what would they be?

This was a nice and uplifting story. Lessons learned by the hero and heroine were very believable. The characters were real in every way. We all have 'warts', and Ms. Butler expressed those idiosyncrasies well and true. Worth a read , highly reccomended

Heart full.

If you’re looking for a short sweet novella, you’ve found it. Interesting story. Writer has done some research on topic, which makes the experience great. Leaves the reader happy, yet wondering- so what happened? Heartfelt.

SWEET LITTLE STORY

Would you consider the audio edition of Fly and Fall to be better than the print version?

I did not read the print version so cannot comment.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The reader cannot help but relate to Siddique. The author skillfully makes the reader sympathetic to him as an immigrant, wanting to fit in, to be accepted and, as the story unfolds, you find yourself rooting for him.

What about Steve Beltran’s performance did you like?

Steve Beltran's voice is low, clear and very pleasing. He puts a lot of emphasis and emotion into his reading and does a wonderful job of portraying different characters. And he even sings.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No, but I enjoyed it and was sorry it wasn't longer.

Any additional comments?

I like to read about cultures and places I don't know much about and this was a window into the world of an immigrant, trying to assimilate. Not only did I enjoy the story itself as I was driving but I gained a greater understanding, and empathy for those who have left all that was familiar.
