About this listen

From the authors of the best-selling series CHERRINGHAM.

When young Ewan Mackay - on a dark stormy night - sails his little dinghy out to a mysterious wreck site some miles offshore from Littlehampton, he never returns. The police assume he drowned at sea - but Ewan's father is not convinced and asks Harry and Kat to investigate. Soon, they learn there are not only dark secrets about the night Ewan disappeared, but also plenty of people who wished him harm. And as they dig deeper, they too find themselves in grave danger both on land and sea...

Nathaniel Parker, born in 1962, graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and went on to join the Royal Shakespeare Company. His television career began in 1988 when he played Flying Officer 'Flash' Gordon in the LWT mini-series Piece of Cake. He is also the lead in the BBC series The Inspector Lynley Mysteries, based on the novels by Elizabeth George. Nathaniel Parker has an extensive list of audio books to his credit, ranging from the classics of Charles Dickens and Thomas Hardy to more modern writings and children's books.

This series just gets better and better. I hope that the co writers continue to write lots more adventures of Sir Harry and his wife Kat.

Another great episode

This writing duo are reliably wonderful at creating stories and characters that captivate. The narrator manages all voices differently, so that it’s easy to know who is talking. Love it.

Marvelous as always.

No spoilers! I absolutely loved this story as I have loved them all. But this has a cool little twist at the end that I really enjoyed and did not see coming!

Love the last minute surprise!!

I love these characters and the story lines. This one, however, started out rather slow It did get better as the story went on, I can’t put my finger on what was different. I will listen to the next one in the series when it comes out. Hopefully this was just a fluke.

Not as good as previous stories in this series

I love this series. Funny yet serious yet not. A easy listen and not to complicated to follow along. The narration is great as well.

Another great story!

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.

The stories get more and more predictable, the vocabulary is not of the era, the characters are less defined, becoming more like caricatures. The first set was much more refined

Fast and flat, more quantity and less quality.
