I love this wildly imaginative story of death and rebirth and the possibilities of life beyond. My favorite passage is that of the character’s last mortal memory being one of victory, not defeat. In these disturbing and chaotic days in which we find ourselves, the idea of our memories being of victory gives me hope.

This was such a well written short story. It was funny, sad, serious & heartfelt. I am a Christian and loved it!

Gritty, visceral, and vivid. But also oddly cheerful and, ultimately, victorious. The audio version was read by the author, who did a good job conveying the emotion and experience of the character.

Wow! I listen to audiobooks almost exclusively, but have not heard many short stories on audio. I ADORED this! I loved the pacing of the set up and getting into the main story... and was surprised at the directions the narrative went.

While the end was satisfying, I would absolutely read a novel-sized version as well!
