About this listen

With Congressman Brady Maxwell up for reelection and journalist Liz Dougherty about to graduate into a promising career, the ambitious couple's future is brighter than ever. They share a passion for their work... and for each other. But when Brady holds a press conference to officially introduce Liz as his girlfriend, reporters hungry for a scandal bombard her. Now, her every move is under a vicious magnifying glass, and her life feels like it's falling apart.

On the road to reelection, the passionate bond between the congressman and the journalist gets tested at every stop. Threatened by shameless media sensationalism and jealous exes, Brady and Liz now have to learn to trust each other despite what they read in the papers.

In the finale to K. A. Linde's sexy Record trilogy, Liz and Brady may be setting off fireworks along the campaign trail, but can their love transcend politics as usual?

I have never been a fan of politics and didn't even understand American politics. K. A Linde's series is amazing. The characters are believable and real life relatable. The romance was good and the conflict was the highlight of this series. Natalie Ross, you are my favorite narrator. Five stars all the way!!!

Best political romance novel ever!

This series by far is one of my favorite, series of all times. K A Linde, knows how to write a heck of a love story. The series is full of heart gripping, angst, love and hate , tissue needed love story. There is so much to love about this series its just AMAZING.

AMAZING -ONE OF MY TOP TEN READS IN 2014!!!!!

I feel like nothing happened in the book. Most of the time it seemed like mundane day to day life. Two books would've been plenty for me.

Least favorite of the trilogy.

Would you listen to For the Record again? Why?

Yes of course. Reasons? Okay lets see.. Is it the southern accent of Brady, or his breathy whispers when he is making love to Liz. Hard to pick. It was just awesome listening for me.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Well, at first it was Liz, then Brady really won me over from about 10% into the book. Liz has gone through a lot and she was strong through it all. But Brady came back strong and stayed true to his love for Liz.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Brady went with Liz to Justin's birthday bonfire and when he drove down to D.C. with her when she was moving in with him. It shows he is really a boyfriend to her first, and a Congressman second.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The scene where Brady was begging Liz about Chelsea. That was so intense.

Any additional comments?

Will K.A. Linde consider a sequel, considering the epilogue?

Can I Take Him Home **wink wink**

I read all three books in a row. Couldn't get enough. Loved Liz's strong personality, Brady's everything and their very realistic relationship. Thank you KA Linde and Natalie Ross for your great work.

Damn Good

This series has been so entertaining, I'm sad there aren't more right now. In the first book Liz and Brady are fighting to be together, in the second book they are fighting to be apart and in this final installment we see them fighting the world together. *sigh* I'm so sad to see these two go and so happy that the author does plan on releasing two more books from this world, "Struck from the record" and "Broken Record"...just wish they were already here!

I search high and low for series like this. No one is broken, or was abused, no mental scars that make them unlovable. These two just fell in love when the universe didn't think it was a good time to and watching them fight that love and then embrace that love...*sigh*...oh it was wonderful to read! They had their ups and downs but got there HEA in the end and just leaves you feeling like you can go out an conquer the world!

Man I love this series!!!!

Highly recommended!!!!!!

What a great conclusion to Brady and Liz's tumultuous roller-coaster love affair. There's not so many dramas as there were in previous books but their sizzling chemistry, sincerity, passion and obvious love for each other more than made up for it. Liz is thoughtful and supportive and Brady, ahhh Brady he's just swoon-worthily perfect in every way.

As the backlash of 'outing' their relationship to the media builds and the frenzy starts, it damages, tarnishes and eventually destroys dreams.... but, as we see in this story, when one door closes another opens. Filled with loveable characters (and a few nasty ones too), there's angst, sex, great character development and one sweet sweet Epilogue. Told from Liz's POV until the end when we hear Brady's thoughts, hopes and dreams and the narrator was great.

Worth a credit? Yes, it would have been, but at under $10 I bought it saving my credit for a more costly, but probably not as enjoyable, listen.

FOR THE RECORD...... BRADY'S EARNED MY VOTE

For this 3rd In the series, I enjoyed it. The beginning was a bit less appealing than that of the first 2. However, eventually I got into the story and I enjoyed it. Once again, the narrator made a big difference . I enjoyed listening to her and she made the story an enjoyable audio.
