About this listen

Rogue waves, capsizing vessels, floating "Sea"crets and a little dog named Bitti? A maritime tale of stress and survival. One can only hope the beloved parties eventually made it to shore.

Meet Tom and Meg Trumbo, a vibrant 50-something couple. Next on Tom Trumbo's bucket list is a 450 mile trip on the sport fishing boat, Tori's Seacret, out of Key West, Florida. The journey takes them into the ocean in the darkest hours of the morning on a 14 hour cruise to Mexico. When the Trumbo's don’t arrive at their destination in Isla Mujeres, off the Yucatan Peninsula, there is a coast guard search for three days. Their close friend, JP, a pilot, flies the waters of their route with no results.

If you enjoy romance adventure stories with twists and turns and lots of interesting characters, you’ll love Forgotten Journey. If you love to watch sunsets, drink wine, or have a beer under a 200 foot ancient Kapok tree, or catch a thousand pound Marlin come along on Tom and Meg's Journey. It’s a trip!

Well done!

The characters were extremely well fleshed out and I almost felt like I knew them. The story was compelling and thoughtful. It had an uplifting spirit of overcoming odds, keep on trying, and not losing hope. The narrator did a terrific job of making the story and characters come alive. Highly recommend

Very good adventure story — outstanding narration

I really enjoyed listening to this book, not only for the story line but also for the wide variety of characters and, especially, the excellent narration. The main characters were well developed and the narration was consistent in their portrayal, in spite of the variety of accents. Even many of the minor characters introduced more accents which the narrator handled with accuracy and ease. There was adventure, suspense and an interesting travelogue about places I didn’t know. All in all, it was a book that held my interest. I will definitely be looking for more books by this narrator who made the book come alive.

Your Adventure was my Adventure!

Enjoyed the story! Could so relate to Meg & Tom! Reminded me of Ray & I during some of our Adventures.
Loved the Moments where they both enjoyed the Surroundings & only a Smile to each other was needed to know it was worth it all;)
The narrater was clear & easy to listen to.
Nan can't wait to read your next! Audio is the way to go👍

Drama, adventure, love.....

I read the book and really enjoyed it, then I listened to it. Audible took a great adventure to a new level. Very well written, and the choice of narrator was spot on. I felt like I was on the trip right alongside Meg. Looking forward to Nan’s next book.

Great adventure!

I really enjoyed this book - it was a compelling story with suspense and even some travel tidbits. I really got swept up in the journey of Tom and Meg and the twists and turns that this book took. I also felt like I got to take a mini vacation as the author did a great job of describing the different locations. Great choice for the narrator too! She really brought the book to life for me - she just was Meg! She had great nuance, the characters were very clear, and she really conveyed the love that Tom and Meg had for each other. A great adventure!

Juvenile

Narrator not good for what was supposed to be a thriller . Prose was elementary and story superficial. Narration sounded like she was reading a children’s book!
