About this listen

There's an unconscious Fae drooling on Len's couch.
That's not even the weirdest thing to happen to him this week.

Len's been told that not all Fae are scheming, manipulative pricks. A moot point, since this one definitely is - he knows that much from bitter experience.

So, when his vampire ex-coworker dumps Albigard of the Unseelie on Len's doorstep, he gives her two hours to find a better hiding place for the Fae fugitive before tossing him straight to the curb with the rest of the garbage.

He should have known better, of course. Because if there's one thing Len's learned since being thrown into the deep end of the seedy paranormal underworld, it's that nothing is ever so simple.

Now he's on the run from a cataclysmic primal force trying to tear its way into the human realm, stuck with an annoying bastard who already knows way too much about the inside of Len's messed-up head. The first time he met Albigard, Len punched the Fae in his too-perfect face. This time, they'll have to learn to work together - or risk having their souls torn apart and consigned to the void, with the rest of humanity facing the same fate soon after.

The Wild Hunt has slipped its chains.
Darkness is coming for the world.

Forsaken Fae is a slow-burn M/M urban fantasy trilogy. It's set in the same world as the best-selling series The Last Vampire and its other spinoff, Vampire Bound. Download the complete series boxset today, and enter a world shared by humans, fae, demons, and vampires. It’s a place where the supernatural threatens the mundane, nothing is as it seems, and enemies must overcome their tangled pasts in order to save the future.

I thoroughly enjoyed this series, particularly the last book...for reasons you will understand once you have read the book. Len and Albigard are an awesome pairing and I can so relate to the needs of release presented by Albigard and Len's ability to sense the need was intense. Really enjoyed this story.

Thoroughly Enjoyed This Series...

I want MOREEEE. I havent read the adjacent books but was able to follow this one fine. There is a short followup book u can get through their website GET IT its free and has the same narrator. The couple works really well together. even though its common to see this is not a story where two incompatable people do an "opposites attract" thing where you have no idea why theyre together or what they do when its not sex. The two turn out to have a lot in common and in this case while they kinda are still "opposites" in some ways its very clear theyre healthy for each other.

Its definitly a slow burn, but as we all know, slow burns just mean its that much better when you finally see the resulting couple, and god they just are perfect for eachother. The action fills it fairly well after the first few chapters but the first one or two chapters admitedly nearly made me drop the book. I just kinda played the book when I was driving to and from places until I started to realize I was getting invested and started binging it.

I will say I did hope to hear something that would mean len will be around for a very long time with albi but since theres more books set in the same world I still hold hope.

God this is so good

I thought the story was very well done and kept my interest start to ‘almost’ finish. . If something doesn’t have my full attention in the first chapter or two I move on. My only “con” if you will, I wasn’t aware of the LGBTQ relationship that it contained. I don’t begrudge anyone of any orientation looking for love, I just don’t need to hear the erotic details of it. I chose to fast forward and didn’t skip a beat in the story. If you find tremendous offense in such things this may not be for you. It still thought it was worth the listen.

A great supernatural storyline.

World settings: fantasy setting from original series, almost no explanation here, but it's quite ok or you can go for original series (not MM I think).
Plot: not deep, but not too stupid. More story than romance oriented.
Romance: slow burn (there is nothing in first book), but in second and third you can find a few hot scenes, BDSM but sweet and not forced. Sex scenes satisfying but not to long to be boring.
Nice relaxing listening.

Slow burn BDSM (but sweet) fantasy

I like the narrator in general, but his feminine voices are all some version of miss piggy and that part is awful. I'd rather he omit doing voices if that's how it's going to turn out bc his natural voice is fine. With that in mind, I can see how some people aren't a fan.

The story drags. Mostly, the personality of the characters was solid enough to make up for it, for me at least. I just wish there were a tighter vision of the story and of the romance. The premise and the world are cool, but the story and storytelling didn't capitalize on that as well as it could have.

I like how normal they make the kink stuff. It makes the overall vibe feel radically accepting even though I'm not necessarily into all of that. That said, there's basically no sex/romance until later in the story, so it's more fantasy than romance. They barely have a few moments of romantic tension in the first book even, which is okay, but it's not what I was expecting given some of the pearl clutchy reviews.

Okay. Story drags.

Enjoyed the overall story. Very surprised of the lack of “sex” until much later in the series. Bondage kinks are fabulous.

Very good

I normally don't write out reviews. I just leave the stars and dig further into another book by the author. But reading the previous written reviews, one in particular, that made me WANT to write one. Even though the person gave a good review, the review it self left me feeling sick to my stomach. So I started this book series in spite. And I am so happy I did.

I love MM romance books. However, sometimes they can seem fickle and shallow. A lot of them are insta-love or forced mating pair type thing. This book takes an incredibly deep dive into the narrative (with amazing world building to boot) that makes you LOVE each and every character. This book series has so much respectful representation. I am talking beautiful trans-characters, They/Them, Masc/Fem and so many others in-between. The slow build up and enemy-to-love trope is expertly done as well. I mean they don't even start to become friends until book two! SO GOOD.

I have nothing but AMAZING things to say and will definitely be sharing this book with my BL and LGBTQA+ discords.

I’m pleasantly surprised by the amount of original well thought out world building this author compiles. With a variety of character depth and development! I feel the end is a tad rushed. Give the poor traumatized bois what they deserve. And some of the other characters more time to tie up loose ends and have their own resolutions. Wish there were more sex scenes purely because the ones included are goooood! Healthy bdsm content for the win!

Surprisingly good plot even better pron
