About this listen

Loving Echo Kent was painful. Not the falling in love part, that was easy. One look at the tall, blond-haired, blue-eyed narcotics detective, and I knew I wanted him. A few months later, I knew I couldn’t live without him. But my Echo had demons, secrets, and a mountain of guilt. His love was selfish and one-sided—he could love but he refused to allow others to love him. The closer I got, the harder he pushed me away. Yet, I was determined to make him face the demons that held him hostage.

The fight was hard won, but I did it. I was well on my way to healing Echo’s fractured heart when someone from his past came raging into our lives threatening to blow up our perfect future.

As the seconds tick and my death approaches, Echo has to make the impossible choice—me or his family.

OMGOSH! My favorite in this series.

This book is awesome I cried in so many places. The emotions I felt between the brothers and sister whew touched my heart. I'm so happy he got his HEA . He gave so much to his siblings and it was wonderful to see him find his happiness and peace . Great job Reily Edwards on another fantastic book.

Where is the next one ? The preview to it is at the end of this one but I don't see it anywhere.

So Good!

Echo Kent is one I have been patiently/impatiently waiting on. I knew the audio was coming out so I waited to listen to it instead of reading it first. Jaclyn and Echo gave us glimpses of the chemistry and what could be in other books but we knew it wouldn’t be so easy. Echo is a protector and has always carried so much on his shoulders with the raising of his siblings that you knew it would take him awhile to figure out that he was worthy of what Jaclyn was offering, unconditional love. This bossy Alpha fell hard but kept fighting it and it was so good to see his family and friends rally for him. Also T.I.M. made an appearance which if you know about him then that should make you happy! Conner Crais and Mackenize Cartwright do a great job brining these characters to life and you won’t be disappointed.

Echo, oh Echo my darling...

Echo, oh Echo my darling... How many times can you break me Riley with your beautiful broken disaster characters? But I'll always come back for more. I knew Echo would tear my heart to shreds and carry me on an emotional trek. Riley writes so beautifully, with quotes and invoking feelings that stop me dead in my tracks. Jacklyn and Echo's journey to an HEA was a soul-searching, internal demon crushing, emotional rollercoaster that left me in one major book hangover. The narration by Connor Crais and Mackenzie Cartwright pulls those emotions from you even more with their amazing abilities. An emotional ride with danger, action, and heart stopping suspense and pain....AMAZING!

Echo and Jackie

Echo has now become my favorite. Echo is the real alpha but he is also the person that everyone can turn to. Echo loves hard but at time loses himself in taking care of others so he suffers and for a while he just dealt with it but things are slowly changing.

Echo has needed Jackie in so many ways but his focus was on his siblings and their well being. Jackie is a friend of Echo's sister and she knows that she wants. Jackie wants something that Echo just can't give her and casual is not something that she is willing to take. There are times that she will take what she can get but she needs a full commitment.

Echo and Jackie's story unfolds right before out eyes. While I rooted for Echo and Jackie I needed their story to play out. I needed Jackie to really show Echo what he was missing and how much he is truly loved not only by his siblings but her as well.

This story was my favorite and I want sooo much more of the Tripe Canopy team! Mackenzie Cartwright & Connor Crais did an amazing job with this story.

Love, danger and healing

Whew. This story of the last Kent sibling packs quite an emotional punch. I was really feeling all the big things with this one. All the feels. It had the perfect balance of humor, heartwarming love, real life issues, danger, past pain, and spice. I have a soft spot for the people who are a bit uncomfortable in their skin because they don’t feel like they fit in or are worthy, like Echo. So I love when they finally see their truth, their worth and they get swoon worthy HEAs. Echo is a good cop and a great protector. He was abandoned by his mother, his father is a criminal and is in prison for killing a cop. He raised his three siblings who are now all happily married but he still feels fractured and hollow. Jaclyn also has a traumatic past. Her father abused her, her siblings and her mother. Her older brother protected them and helped raise them. Echo and Jaclyn had a months long relationship but when Jaclyn professed her feelings Echo ended it. Now that Jaclyn has moved to the same town it’s harder to ignore what they have. To get to their HEA, there will need to be a lot of baggage unpacking and leaps of faith for both of them. The book was well written and included witty dialogue, three dimensional characters who grow, and an engaging storyline with sweet moments, exciting action, danger, supportive family and friends, painful pasts, plot twists, imperfect characters, missteps, and all the big feels.

Connor Crais and Mackenzie Cartwright did a phenomenal job narrating the story and characters into life with enough change of inflection, tone and cadence to voice multiple characters fairly convincingly. I love the added dimension narration gives to a story.

Beautiful Finish

I have been waiting for Echo’s story since he was introduced. Boy, Riley made the wait worth it. It was so beautifully written and he remains my favorite. If you prefer audio then you need to give a listen because the narrators do such a wonderful job.
