Riveting

Absolutely wonderful, I am a senior DeMolay from a chapter in Indiana and actually met Mr.Hodapp years ago. I never knew he was a writer, I began traveling towards the blue lodge out in Utah and was put on to this book by a friend after I showed interest in joining my local lodge. and I have to say I absolutely devoured it. every night for the last three or four nights I listened to this while at work and learned so many things about the people I hope to be accepted as a brother with and amazingly all from a man I already respected from years ago. now I'm no philosophy major heck to be honest I barely passed high-school, but I could follow along and found myself getting lost in all of it. I have been recommending this book to as many people as I possibly can since listening. I just finished it tonight and am happy in the knowledge of the brotherhood im proud to start joining. Mr. Hodapp if you ever read this review I just wanted to say thank you. im glad to have known you as a child and hopefully one day with a lot of work and dedication get to know you as a brother.

(ps) the reason I gave the performance a 4 star and not 5 star review is because I kid you not the voice kept reminding me of the mettatron from the TV series supernatural and it kinda gave me the Willie's from time to time XD.

Easy to follow

Very informative and the narrator does a great job. This book was enjoyable, easy to follow and I'm sure it will answer most of your questions, if not all.

Grain of salt, but educational/informative

Would you consider the audio edition of Freemasons for Dummies, 2nd Edition to be better than the print version?

Didn't read the print version. I'd say no, because even the narrator noted that it's a reference (so random chapter would be easier on paper than in an audio format) - at least with current labeling.

What did you like best about this story?

The narrator did a great job of explaining/reading in a way that wasn't "PhD instructor" and was more "friend who has answers". If that made sense.

Which character – as performed by Tom Dheere – was your favorite?

Not that kind of book.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The book noted that there is no one Freemason speaker, leader, authority. Unfortunately that applies to this book as well, but felt very honest.

Exactly what I hoped and more...!

I’ve not yet joined a lodge but have been interested for many years. I’ve been learning about freemasonry for a long time and one of the last things my grandfather said to me before he passed away was that he had wished he would have become a Freemason.

After listening to this book I’m even more sure than ever that I will petition the lodge when the time is right. I am hoping to do so very soon. Thanks Christopher Hodapp and those involved in seeing this 2nd edition come to pass!
