About this listen

Demigods Nico di Angelo and Will Solace must endure the terrors of Tartarus to rescue an old friend in this thrilling adventure co-written by New York Times #1 best-selling author Rick Riordan and award-winning author Mark Oshiro.

Percy Jackson fans, rejoice! Nico and Will have a book of their own!

As the son of Hades, Nico di Angelo has been through so much, from the premature deaths of his mother and sister, to being outed against his will, to losing his friend Jason during the trials of Apollo. But there is a ray of sunshine in his life—literally: his boyfriend, Will Solace, the son of Apollo. Together the two demigods can overcome any obstacle or foe. At least, that's been the case so far . . .

Now Nico is being plagued by a voice calling out to him from Tartarus, the lowest part of the Underworld. He thinks he knows who it is: a reformed Titan named Bob whom Percy and Annabeth had to leave behind when they escaped Hades's realm. Nico's dreams and Rachel Dare's latest prophecy leave little doubt in Nico's mind that Bob is in some kind of trouble. Nico has to go on this quest, whether Mr. D and Chiron like it or not. And of course Will insists on coming with. But can a being made of light survive in the darkest part of the world? And what does the prophecy mean that Nico will have to "leave something of equal value behind?"

Nico will have to face demons both internal and external as his relationship with Will is tested to the core in this standalone adventure featuring two of the most popular characters in the Percy Jackson saga. Embrace your demons

If you were a longtime fan of Rick Riordan, you should know that this book has a noticeably darker tone than what you might be used to. Don’t worry! You can still hear the voice of the author we all know and love, and now with the addition of a darker point of view.
This book will have you laughing, crying, and going Awwh more times than you can count.
If you’re wondering, whether or not, you need to read the previous 15 books in this series, you do! Not just so you understand references and who other side characters are, but because you only get the full effect of this incredible journey, when you know and love the characters to their fullest! Nico and Will do not begin their journey here, this story is just one small part!

Such An Amazing Story

I grew up reading the Percy Jackson stories and have always loved reading each book and the series as a whole. This is the first audio book that I had heard in the series and absolutely loved it. A.J. Beckles did a wonderful job in bringing each of the characters to life and was phenomenal. The story itself was everything and more than I expected it to be and had me laughing, crying and clinging to each word as the story progresses.

Aww!

As a huge fan of the Percy Jackson universe I'm so freaking happy with this book ! It was so wonderful for Nico to be able to have his own spotlight. Nico has been one of my favorites since book 3. Loved the book. The story was wonderful.. however did anyone listen to the reader? The performance was so ..poor .. The voice acting seriously needs a lot of work. But the book itself is 12/10

Worst of the entire Percy Jackson series.

this book feels so empty and lacking. they rushed it so much, Percy and Annabeths journey was great and hard this felt like a book to comfort gay kids and story was Second to that. it just was very slow and drawn out for that stuff but rushed bob and the rest

Not the best to start with

A fun stand-alone adventure that nico deserves and cute solangelo stuff. But it does throw the word boyfriend around a lot. It’s a standalone story enough you don’t need to read the other stories but not the best out of all the other books
