Story
The Eden Project was a dream. To start the first extra-solar colony... To avoid the mistakes of our past... To start anew. Three generations, born and raised on a starship hurtling through space. To never know an open sky... To never feel the wind on their face... To never witness the sun rise or set. It is up to the advance team to set foot on each of these worlds, conduct their surveys, and send their findings back to the colony ship. So many questions... So little time... Such an enormous responsibility.

Story
In the 20th century Earth sent probes, transmissions, and welcoming messages to the stars. Unfortunately, someone noticed. The Galactics arrived with their battle fleet in 2052. Rather than being exterminated under a barrage of hell-burners, Earth joined their vast Empire. Swearing allegiance to our distant alien overlords wasn't the only requirement for survival. We also had to have something of value to trade, something that neighboring planets would pay their hard-earned credits to buy. As most of the local worlds were too civilized to have a proper army, the only valuable service Earth could provide came in the form of soldiers....

Story
Aliens exist...and, as it turns out, most of them aren’t that friendly. Jacob Brown wasn’t even born yet the first time they attacked Earth. He was only 14 the second time it happened. When Earth finally came together and fielded its first spaceborne military, Jacob didn’t hesitate to volunteer. Serving aboard a mighty starship, he’d be able to defend his planet - and his family - when, inevitably, they came again.

Story
Geary believed in the Alliance. Even when he uncovered overwhelming evidence that the highest echelons of the government and fleet command were involved in secret programs and prison camps, he believed it was worth saving. He believed his duty was to see that justice was served even though some factions feared that revealing the truth would cause the Alliance to crumble. But after narrowly surviving two assassination attempts when he brings evidence of the misdeeds to the capital star system, Geary realizes that some want to get rid of him.

Thousands of crew are reported dead, including the ship’s captain. Reluctantly, the young XO, Galvin Quintos, will be taking command of the fleet's crippled dreadnaught, the USS Hamilton, while doing his best to bring fleet survivors back to Earth. To make matters worse, there’s a murderer running loose on board the ship, critically low fuel levels, and the Grish are back, in fast pursuit and ready to finish what they’d started. Only by sheer luck - and a good measure of cagey smarts - will Quintos be able to rise to the challenge.

Why I like Science Fiction
Lots of Super spaceships dealing vengeance to evildoers, cool technology, but a bit too short. Would like to get at least 12 hours worth for price. Seems to be a trend now.

Time jumps aside. I love the reboot.
Frontiers Saga Part 3: Liberty and Truth, Peace and Prosperity by Ryk Brown is an exciting continuation of the epic space opera series. The author does an excellent job of creating a fresh start for the story without relying too heavily on time jumping as a cheap way to reboot the narrative.
One of the most impressive aspects of this installment is how seamlessly Brown transitions the story from the previous books while also introducing new characters and plotlines. This helps to keep the series feeling fresh and engaging while still staying true to the themes and ideas that made it so popular in the first place.
The action sequences are also well-executed, with Brown demonstrating his ability to write pulse-pounding battles and tense moments of high stakes drama. Fans of the series will be thrilled to see some of their favorite characters return, while new readers will appreciate the accessibility of the story even if they haven't read the previous books.
While there is some use of time jumping in the story, Brown does not rely too heavily on this device, and instead uses it as a way to explore different possibilities and scenarios for the characters without completely resetting the story. This shows a level of creativity and thoughtfulness on the part of the author, and adds to the overall depth and complexity of the narrative.
Overall, Frontiers Saga Part 3: Liberty and Truth, Peace and Prosperity is a highly enjoyable addition to the series, and one that is sure to please both longtime fans and new readers alike. Ryk Brown has proven himself to be a talented storyteller, and this latest installment is a testament to his ability to create a compelling and exciting space opera that is both entertaining and thought-provoking.
