About this listen

A novel brimming with nonstop action, quirky characters, sexy highjinks, and sharp humor

Welcome to Full Speed by Janet Evanovich and Charlotte Hughes. You'll fall in love with Jamie Swift and Max Holt, one dynamic duo who can't seem to escape trouble - and an irresistible attraction - as you follow them from one adventure to another. Newspaper editor Jamie Swift likes a little predictability in her life.

When she suddenly finds herself minus a fiancé and with a major case of the hots for her silent partner, millionaire Maximillian Holt, any bit of predictability goes right out the window. Max is like a tornado, turning her well-ordered world upside down. Now someone's unhappy with Max's recent business deal - dangerously unhappy. Before she knows it, Jamie's hotfooting across state lines to help Max and land a story. But Sweet Pea, Tennessee harbors some smelly secrets, many of which reside under the big tent of revivalist Harlan Rawlins, whose link to the Almighty rides shotgun with his Mob connections.

Posing as husband and wife, with computer genius Muffin and a mutt named Fleas along for the ride, Max and Jamie are in the middle of another crazy case, closer than ever to each other - and too close for comfort to the kind of people who will do anything to stop them.

Heard it before?

Good story, good character development, but it's Stefanie Plum with different names. Same with the narration. Enjoyable anyway, though.

Excellent as Usual

I enjoyed this book especially because of the new story line and new characters. Loreli King is one of my favorite readers.

Lord Almighty spare me the next one

Jamie is about as dumb as a woman can be. she does the stupidest crap and Max never says a thing. He sounds like Ward Cleaver. I don't know I guess I expected more like Diesel and Lizzy or Stephanie and Joe these are just weak and there's not much humor I'm disappointed

I can’t wait to read the next book!

I am really enjoying this series. I can’t wait to read the next book. The narration is really good and it has just enough of comedy, mystery and a bit of attraction.

Full Speed to the Dumper

Probably the worst book I've listened to! Barely a plot that takes most of the book to get to & goes nowhere. Childish conversations & poor attempt to create a sexual tension between the main characters & the narrator's voices add to the misery. Don't waste your time!

Couldn't Finish

Any additional comments?

I wasted a credit on books 2 and 3 of the Full series. I will refrain from wasting more on this series.

Save your time and money.

This book is wretched. Didn't listen to more than the first 30 minutes. It is bad Stephanie Plum, with the woman who can't get her cars, love life or professional life together. Read anything else.

dumb and dumber

The only thing dumber than an anthropormorphic computer named Muffin that whines and dribbles is the terrible voice given it by the reader. Complete waste of time.
