About this listen

The New York Times best-selling author of The Forgotten Room and Deep Storm is back with a new thriller that follows the trail of a killer who cannot exist...featuring Jeremy Logan, the renowned investigator of the supernatural and fantastic.

Legends, no matter how outlandish, are often grounded in reality. This has been the guiding principle behind the exhilarating career of Jeremy Logan, the "enigmologist" - an investigator who specializes in analyzing phenomena that have no obvious explanation - previously seen in The Forgotten Room, The Third Gate, and Deep Storm. Logan has often found himself in situations where keeping an open mind could mean the difference between life and death, and that has never been more true than now.

Logan travels to an isolated writers' retreat deep in the Adirondacks to finally work on his book when the remote community is rocked by the grisly discovery of a dead hiker on Desolation Mountain. The body has been severely mauled, but the unusual savagery of the bite and claw marks call into question the initial suspicions of a wild bear attack. When Logan is asked to help investigate, he discovers no shortage of suspects capable of such an attack - and no shortage of locals willing to point the finger and spread incredible rumors. One rumor, too impossible to believe, has even the forest ranger believing in werewolves. As Logan gets to know the remote deep-woods landscape, including a respected woman scientist still struggling with the violent loss of her father in these very woods, Logan realizes he's up against something he has never seen before.

His most action-packed and white-knuckled novel to date, Full Wolf Moon is the perfect combination of exotic locales, provocative science, and raw action that make for a deeply entertaining Lincoln Child blockbuster.

I have read or listened to all of Lincoln Child’s solo work. “Utopia” is far and away the best book he’s written, and maybe it’s unfortunate that that was the first LC book I encountered. I enjoyed “The Forgotten Room”, disliked “The Third Gate” (and returned it), and regularly revisit “Utopia.”

I’m rather disappointed in this book. It was okay, but that’s all. It seems unfinished, without the depth and polish of his other work. The climax and denouement is a bit forced or rushed.

To top it off, I don’t like the narrator at all. The best thing I can say about his narration is that he pronounced all of the words. A bit nasal, very monotone, and his pauses at the end of sentences almost makes it sound like he just learned to read. I would hesitate getting another book read by this narrator.

Not his best work

One of the author's better books. Very entertaining. I had to pull over and listen to the last three chapters without interruption.

Another great Lincoln Child tale.

Before I started this book I checked out both negative and positive reviews, as I always do. This is my 4th Jeremy Logan book (not in order) and I decided to go for it.

Jeremy Logan does not consider himself a monster hunter but more of a scientist and sleuth. If you like a little science, a little mystery, and a little supernatural along with good character development, you'll enjoy the Jeremy Logan books. And, did I say history? They're all based on some historical legend.

NOTE- I do not know why they are named as such, but Jeremy Logan is not the main protagonist in book one and book two. However, narrated by Scott Brick (an absolute favorite of mine) they are of the same genre and both excellent books.

Well worth a credit!

I wasn’t sure what to expect, but Lincoln Child did not disappoint. Could not stop listening and finished it in less than 24 hours. Lol. Fun read

Jeremy Logan stays true to himself in this story. He's the kind of character who's always entertaining and this narrator does a fantastic job!

Pretty cool story!

This gets off to kind of a slow start, but once it gets going it is very enjoyable. As always a very good listen.

Very good

It's the least of the Dr. Logan books, but decent enough... A bit slow, and not helped by uninspired narration... Probably better apart from audio... The pacing is hurt by the bland performance, and only slightly improved at higher speed... I woulda appreciated more delving into the "Deliverance" like components...

Readable, but

Not scary but a good summer book for beach or back yard. And maybe you won't go deep into the woods after you read it.
