YA/NA Romance with heart

I enjoyed the read, but Gage was not my favorite of The Player series. I could relate to both Gage and the family's high expectation of him, but I felt that it was more an expectation that he was putting on himself. Becker and her woes and struggles where coming at her on all fronts. Her father, a forced relationship, wanting to be independent, wanting her life to take a different direction. I found that they both had some commonalities. Family was important to the both but Beck could find the courage to walk away from a man that treated her like she was nothing more than a possession. I loved how they both could be the strength the other needed to get through things.

I enjoyed the side story but was disappointed not to have more and to have more of a direction for Gage and Becker.

York and Odom did a good job with bringing this characters to life and setting an expectation.

the series

i enjoyed the series... but each book seemed to be “missing something” i expected that the stories would “spill” into the next... but never did... and each woman was a virgin & the men fell head over heals that quick? over all enjoyed

Great read/listen

Gage is the youngest coulter and trying to go to school, play basketball to follow in all of his families footsteps, deal with his fathers illness and the family scandal about ransom. Gage's grades start to show the stress he is under so he needs a tutor where is how he meets Becker "Becks" Johnson. To watch these two meet and get to know each other and help each other is great. Nana Malone again keeps you wanting more of this series by keeping all the other family members in the story. You are rooting for Gage and Beck.

I enjoyed this series, but...

I really enjoyed this series, the characters were interesting and fun, but the story just ends too quickly. Leaves me saying "that's it?"

Was hoping for so much more

It may just be me but it was kind of weird listening to a barely legal person talk about how much sex he had in high school but I digress. Anyway I was hoping the story would have more random in it or at least a better conclusion to that storyline. This story was good but it could have been better. It kind of left things up in the air at the end. Overall 3 stars. It
