Publisher's summary

Beware, Olympus, because this dark horse might be your downfall....

This box set includes the complete Games of the Gods Trilogy:

  • Hades Descendants
  • Vicious Champion
  • Fated Goddess

Hades Descendants: Every year, the immortals of Mt. Olympus assemble for a brutal series of games. Welcome to The Trials, where the offspring of the gods must compete for their immortality.

There's only one rule: Winner takes all.

I’m just Ana, an orphan, a cast-off. Nothing too special about me...except for that one pesky problem I have where things die when I touch them. Yep, it’s definitely an issue.

This year at The Trials, everyone's expecting Haven Knightfall to win. One of Hades' elite descendants, Haven is handsome and cruel and perfect to admire from afar. He just happens to also be my own personal tormentor - except when he's kissing the daylights out of me. Which is not confusing at all.

No one's betting on me, plain old Ana. No one expects an unclaimed orphan to win. But I'll stop at nothing to learn to control my powers, beat Haven, and become Champion.

Beware, Olympus, because this dark horse might be your downfall....

Vicious Champion: I, Ana Hearthtender, nobody orphan of Mt. Olympus, survived the first round of Trials to become Champion of Hades House.

In fact, there are only two competitors left - me and the infuriating Haven Knightfall.

He’s my nemesis, my tormentor, and my sometimes partner. Except for the part where he betrayed me and took all the credit for himself. I can’t figure him out. It’s all the more confusing because my body remembers all too well the feel of his touch, the caress of his lips, the-

Nope. Not thinking about any of that.

Which would be easier if our next Trial didn’t require us to go on a long journey, just the two of us, working together on a mission to find the Fates. At least we’ll finally get some answers about what’s really going on.

If Haven and I manage not to kill each other on the way there, that is.

But when it turns out there’s so much more at stake than I ever dreamed, both Haven and I will face a choice that will change everything.

Fated Goddess: The mortal world isn’t so bad, except it’s lacking in one thing: the sinfully sexy Haven Knightfall, the victor of the God Games (thanks to me!), Prince of Hades House, and my sworn enemy.

I’m trying not to miss his stupid handsome face or the way he fights me one minute and kisses me the next.

Just when I’ve resigned myself to this new life, one of the Fates shows up at my door on the verge of death. Cronus, King of the Titans, attacked them, and now they have a message for me: Return to Olympus, stop Cronus, and save the world.

As if it were that easy? But the truth is, as an unwanted orphan most of my life, I always wondered if my destiny might be bigger than I realized. And my fate? It might just be intertwined with Haven’s after all.

The only way to find out is to return to Olympus and face off against the King of the Titans to save the only home I’ve ever known alongside the only man I’ve ever loved.

Haven, Haven, HAVEN!!!

If you have a terrible memory, the author reminds you constantly that his name is Haven Nightfall in every book and darn near every chapter. The story line drags between three books and is a slow burn romance between "Orphan" and Haven Nightfall. He calls her Orphan so much I forgot her actual name (Its Anna). Heck she reminds you every three chapters she does not know who she is and that she is an orphan. The mental anguish that Orphan goes through is mostly inner turmoil with Haven's brother being the meanie here and there. The real Greek Mythology comes out with the trials and the roles the other gods play in the story. As the story progresses to book 3, now we are getting somewhere! She finds out who her parents are, and the battle begins. Had me in a chokehold at the end as my eyes glossed over, and I ignored practically everything and everybody in the last 12 chapters as I was that hooked. HEA for her and Haven. The book was good, definitely something to recommend a friend who likes Greek mythology, a dash of action and a hint of spice.

Great Story

The story was good but the main character was crap full of self depreciation and fear.

Hades Dependents

So I went into this book a bit blind, mostly because I have enjoyed other books by Nikki Kardnov & love Bridget Bordeaux as an audiobook narrator. This story is completely different to the books that I have read recently & I am really enjoying the change. This is a unique take on Greek Mythology. In this world, the gods all still exist, even in current times, but they do not necessarily interact with mortals. Each god has a house of individuals who are their decedents with various mortals. Ana is an orphan who is unsure of who her true godly ancestor is, that is until she is selected to complete in The Trials for Hades house.

I love the mystery of who Ana's parentage is & I love the relationship she has with Haven, another of Hades descendants, and the one pegged to win The Trials. These two have such a love hate relationship & I enjoyed every minute of it.

I really enjoyed this book & I will definitely be starting book 2 ASAP!

Vicious Champion

After book 1 I had to start this one right away & I am so glad that I did! First off, Bridget Bordeaux does an absolutely amazing job as the audiobook narrator. She truly brings the characters to life. I really love this adaptation of Greek mythology.

We continue Ana's story & I really enjoyed her development & growth in this book. I also loved seeing the change in the relationship between Haven & Ana. We do also get some of the answers in this book that Ana has been wondering about regarding her parentage.

Fated Goddess

Well that is an absolutely epic conclusion to Ana's story! Bridget Bordeaux does such a great job as the audiobook narrator. She truly brings the characters to life.

This book gives us the final pieces of the puzzle for what makes Ana who and what she is. We also finally get Haven & Ana on the same page! Those two are so amazing together. Now, there is not a ton of spicy scenes in this book, but they are definitely epic! Those two have such amazing chemistry.

This book will give you all the feels but that conclusion was truly amazing! What an epic journey!

I really enjoyed this book & I will definitely be starting book 3 ASAP! That ending left me reeling!

Thumbs up🥰

Enjoyed the story and the narrator. Sad that this is the end I feel like there were some loose ends and would have loved more interaction with our character leads. I also felt bad for Kronos. I’ll leave it at that so that way I don’t spoil it for other readers. I’m looking forward to more work. Thanks for sharing.
