I knew nothing about mates...until the alpha rejected me.
Growing up in one of the biggest packs in the world, my life from the second I turn 18 is planned out for me: Find my true mate in the moon ceremony, giving me the power to share the shifter energy that is given to the males of the pack by the moon goddess herself; the power to shift into a wolf.
But for the first time in the history of our pack, the new alpha is mated with a nobody. A foster kid living in the packs orphanage with no ancestors and no power to claim: me.
After being brutally rejected by my alpha mate, publicly humiliated and thrown away into the sea, the dark wolves of the Fall Mountain Pack find me. They save me.
The four alphas. The ones the world fears because of the darkness they live in. In their world being rejected is the only way to join their pack. The only way their lost and forbidden god gives them the power to shift without a mate.
I've spent my life worshipping the moon goddess when it turns out my life always belonged to another....
Her Wolves is a reverse harem romance full of sexy alpha males, steamy scenes, a strong heroine, and a lot of sarcasm. It is intended for mature readers.

*~*~* Previous ebook review ~*~*~*
G Bailey is really good at starting new series, her books really draw you in and make you so impatient for the next one haha. And she definitely did this yet again for me with Her Wolves. I love wolf shifter but I havent read one in awhile so this was exactly what I needed to get me out of my book hangover. I really loved Irin, with her vulnerability and finally becoming the person and wolf she needs to be. She hasn't gotten to where she needs to be, but I bet we will see her grow more, especially after that wallop of a cliffhanger and shake up haha. I mean you knew what was going to happen (with the secrets being revealed) but I definitely didnt see the bigger reveal at the end haha. I hope the one character doesnt turn out to be bad, I liked her haha.
I am intrigued and really hope book 2 comes out earlier than May (G Bailey is notorious for bringing books up because she is a writing machine so I really hope that happens with this one haha). I see another book releases tomorrow so that will hold me over for a bit until Her Defenders comes out. I won't say much without giving stuff away, but I did cry in the books, I couldn't stop smiling with some of the growth and interaction btw Irin and her alphas, and loved the interaction with Irin and some of the side characters like the younger wolf in the alpha house. I loved the imagery G Bailey described with the setting of the pack. I loved all the alphas but the progression with Valentine was adorable and fantastic, as well as the steam with Silas. I appreciated the stability Ragnar and Hen provided her as well, hope we get more of them in the next book!!
Good start to this audiobook series!

Have you ever found a book that evokes your emotions & makes you feel the painful scenes; but, the story doesn't meet expectations you imagined from the blurb???
That's how I feel about this book.
The last paragraph of the blurb hints that this is a more mature RH. Instead, barely any romance is mutually shared by the end of the book. 4 guys & yet we only really get a few glimpses of romance with each. Then, in the last few minutes of the book, we are hit with a short info dump to explain some things to the FMC.
Curious, I read the blurb for book 2 (which will release in a year from now) & I don't see how the RH aspect will have time in book 2. It's like reading a RH of friends with romantic interests. The whole "steamy scenes" only included light kissing, the men being naked from shifting, & a loving haircut lol
Originally I thought I've been living inside the omegaverse too long so other RH stories seem tame to me now. Somehow I don't think that's the case here 🤔
I really liked the guys & the FMC has reasonable reactions, based on her traumatic background. I don't get other reviews saying she's too naive or weak??? Her behavior matches her experiences, duh!
I've read many of this author's books, so that's why my surprise at the inaccurate blurb is frustrating.
Blurb oversold it & I'm a bit disappointed
