About this listen

"And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat." (Leviticus 26:29)

When two cannibalistic, gravely wounded men stagger into the town of Gehenna, all hell breaks loose. Infamous outlaw Mad Dog McCall, stuck in the city jail, must fight for his life to escape. The lonely, intelligent, and snarky Karen must make horrific sacrifices to survive the night against the growing army of the dead.

Together, they set upon a journey of biblical proportions, fighting against the living and the infected, hoping against hope to find a safe haven in the middle of Hell.

The Old West can't fathom the zombie hoard that is about to consume it.

hell of a good time

i loved this story. i read it on my kindle and i had a hard time putting it down it was so interesting and exciting. a fresh take on the zombie genera. i wanted to learn more about the outlaw McCall. but i like that his tale was left to the imagination. i burned through this story at work and i am sure i will enjoy listening to it again.

Outlaws and hookers and zombies, oh my!

While I tend to like all zombie stories, the good and the bad, I will say this one is definitely more on the good side. Great narrator. Do you remember the Tales from the Crypt movie Demon Knight? This is not that, but the vibe is the same. Really enjoyed this. I’ll be reading the rest of the series for sure.

pretty good but short

I was given this book for free from audiobook boom and asked to leave an unbiased review for the author and narrator. The story was pretty good, zombies in the old west but way too short. I get that its a series, but a bit more could have been put into this book the ending leaves you hanging so you have to buy the next book. The narrator was pretty good, he has a pleasant voice and your not listening to a monotonous voice just getting through the story.

This is Just Bad

The old west and Zombies. Sounds like a good unique take on the Zombie books. Had it been well written, it would probably be so, had it been average narrated maybe. Neither happened. I don't know how you make Zombies boring, but Brant discovered a way.

The narrator does good voices and characters, but his narration is awful. He pronounces each word with lots of emphasis. There is more narration, then conversation, so this gets real annoying. I hope Martinez did not quit his 3rd grade teaching job. There is lots of blood and gore, but he reads it like a first grade learner.

You want to take a pass on this.
