About this listen

Sometimes, one stubborn Capricorn is all it takes...to drive Wesley Hidaka to crazy, flirtatious lengths.

Wesley loves annoying his RA, Lloyd Reynolds. He just can't help it. Lloyd is focused, decisive, grounded. He has this amusing ability to follow rules. Of course, Wesley wants Lloyd to break one...or 300.

Sometimes, one smirking Gemini is all it takes...to have Lloyd laying down the law and marching Wesley straight back to his dorm room.

It doesn't stop Wesley teasing again. And again. And again.... But damn. Lloyd doesn't crack easily. He's full of principles. He's unshakable. He's the perfect friend to have when Wesley needs help. Like with his truant brother and his old high school principal.

Sometimes, one little lie is all it takes...to find Wesley fake-engaged to his off-limits RA.

What can he say? It seemed like a good idea at the time....

Contains mature themes.

Love the book- the narrator need to improve

When I first read Anyta Sunday's Scorpio Hates Virgo , Signs of Love #2, I was both instantly in love and unbelievably angry at myself for not knowing about these books sooner! I have since bought, read, and loved the first book, Leo Loves Aries and was floored, again, with the genius writing, wit, word games and slow burn hotness that is Anyta Sunday's writing. Anyta excels at relationships, each character has quirks and little unique behaviors that manifest in speech, actions and friendship/relationships, a talent that makes these books shine. When I heard about a third book I knew I would love it and I have to say this book did not disappoint.

The good parts:
Wesley, he is just a fun to read character, flighty and hilarious, I was only a few pages in when the sound of a broken toilet was described as reminiscent to the first time giving head and I knew then, I was reading the right kind of book. Wesley is all heart, and flapping tongue that gets him in trouble, and his interactions with his brother Caleb while trying to keep Caleb's school record so he gets to go to his dream collage, are a delight to read.

Lloyd, the grumpy dorm RA run ragged by Wesley's incessant badgering, flirting and rule breaking is just so charming! I love how he stands firm in front of all the temptations Wesley throws in his way. Their banter is wonderful, sexy and quirky in such a charming fashion you can't help but fall in love with them. His care-giver nature and panache for regulations are just was Wesley needs.
I love the little surprises throughout the book, making you laugh and say "this did not just happen, OMG!" I call them 'smile points' were you just get this elated feeling from the sweetness and fun in the story. This is an uplifting, fun, read that will charm you and make you fall for grumpy goats and warm coffee.

***THE NARRATION***
I like this book on audio better than the e-book, which I felt like at times dragged out a bit too much, so despite my misgivings about the narrator (keep reading to see why) I feel like he managed to make the book more enjoyable, a mighty feat considering what I have to say next.
The not so good parts to me are the narrator voice choices. Even though the narrator has a very good voice and since the first book came out on audio I loved the way he narrated Theo, Percy and Wesley BUT!!! the voice he chose for the other MC was not so good. Somehow he decided to give Jamie, Cal and Lloyd an almost snobby voice, with a strange deepness that disturbed his ability to add the emotional depth into their parts in the way he does to Theo, Percy and Wesley'es. And at times he has a few really good lines and then goes back to the strange voice he chose for them... it just bothers me and I feel like it's a big miss in the narration! Also in this book he decided that Lloyd has a western twang, despite the fact there is no part of the book that even implies he does. Not only that but he narrated Lloyd's mother WITHOUT a western twang which makes no sense!!! Just made him sound like a country hick which did not suit his character at all. I was disappointed in this choice, he also has this really annoying voice he gives a few side characters that just sound very fake and silly and it stands out so much, very disruptive. If there was one thing I could change it would be to give Jamie, Cal and Lloyd a more natural voice and not use the nasally voice for the side characters.

Witty and Fast Moving Romance

I think this is my favorite of the series so far, super cute couple and really good story. It's fast paced, witty, and so much fun from cover to cover!

Nicely performed by Rudy Sanda.

I enjoyed the book, but....

This is the 3rd book I've listened to from this series and I enjoyed it for the most part. I tend to gravitate towards high school or college MM romances when I don't want something too serious. Although, there *was* a point where I shed a few tears. I liked the story, but I had trouble with the narration. One of the MCs voices was really off putting. Other than that; it was good.

Narrator is trash!

I'm only two hours into the book and I think I'm gonna have to switch to the kindle version. The narrator is just so bad. His voice for Lloyd sounds absurd, what kind of accent is that even supposed to be? I't sounds like a spoof southern accent, and his lines have no emotion or inflection. Then he gives Wesley's 17 year old brother the voice of a 40 year old. The side characters have horrible nasally nails on a chalk board voices, its just really bad. I'm having a hard time getting into it and all I have to do is sit here and listen.

Enjoy the author, can't stand narration

I had to stop listening about 30 minutes in when I wanted to bang my head on a wall because the narration made me cringe. The voice for one MC was so absurd I couldn't get into the story. Switched to kindle version so I could actually enjoy the book. Disappointing since I liked the narration for the first two books.

*sigh*

Ok, I really can’t finish this. I love this author and her characters in this one seem all amusing.....

But the narration is grating. Wesley’s voice is fine but Lloyd’s voice... I positively LOATHE it. What the hell kind of accent is that supposed to be??? It’s like a pseudo southern accent done by someone who has never lived in the south a day in their life. Hideous. I just can’t take their relationship seriously because of this voice. There’s no errors or anything, though, I’ll give him that.

Good story. Good narration.

Another sweet addition this series. As always the characters are sweet, the angst generates just enough tension to keep me guessing, and the story is full of warm fuzzies.

Cute and quick read

3.5 stars

RA and one of the guys in the dorm, friends to lovers, OTT lead, idiots who don't know the other is into them, lots of horoscope talk, fake fiances, lots of 'platonic' friend cuddling and hanging out, everyone already thinks they're dating, big flirt x uptight pairing.

This was a nice and easy read, had little actual drama or conflict, just miscommunication of the leads not telling the other that they are in love.

The narration was rough though - something about the accents/voices for the leads didn't work for me.

skip the audio- worst character voice ever

the story was fine; basically Leo Loves Aries with a few tweaks. the narration though- the actor chose literally the worst, most un-sexy, and unemotional voice for Lloyd, and it made this audio unbearable to listen to. it was very “Steve Urkel.” The only way I got through it was by mentally repeating the lines in my head to re-imagine them in a different voice. I know this sounds harsh but it’s true. I don’t know what happened; I thought this voice actor did fine in the previous book. Basically- read the print or ebook if you’re interested in the story.
