Publisher's summary

Remember, daughter, the world is a lot bigger than anyone knows. There are things that science may never explain. Maybe some things that shouldn’t be explained.

Stacey and Laney are twins—mirror images of each other—and yet they’re as different as the sun and the moon. Stacey works hard at school, determined to get out of their small town. Laney skips school and sneaks out of the house to meet her boyfriend. But when Laney disappears one night, Stacey can’t believe she’s just run off without telling her.

As the days pass and Laney doesn’t return, Stacey starts dreaming of her twin. The dreams are dark and terrifying, difficult to understand and hard to shake, but at least they tell Stacey one key thing—Laney is alive. It’s hard for Stacey to know what’s real and what’s imagined and even harder to know who to trust. All she knows for sure is that Laney needs her help.

Stacey is the only one who can find her sister. Will she find her in time?

Don’t be afraid of the dark…

Excellent! I decided to listen on a whim and I am SOOOOO grateful that I did! I just cannot for the life of me figure out the Aboriginal cryptic utilized in the book!? Any help or skepticisms would be greatly appreciated!

Terrific Cultural Ghost Story

The characters are nicely fleshed out in this story of racism against aboriginal people in Australia. The spiritual beliefs and ghosts of the aborigine people are brought to light and will make you want to study the history. Old feuds, family love, the special bond of twins, burgeoning love and a crazy old woman come together to make a delightful listen. Triumph comes with a talisman. You will love this book!

Loved it

I really enjoyed this book. I found the story to be very interesting, maybe because I'm a twin myself. The narration was spot on amazing. I can't wait to read and listen to more.

Not what I expected

This book was not at all what I expected.
I had no idea it would include so much about folklore/legends or so much about racism.
The narration was fantastic though & I did end up liking the book overall.
