About this listen

Moscow and Argentina form a devastating secret alliance to control the territory - and the oil rights - of the Falkland Islands. The United States is furious at this act of international piracy - and the fact that their largest oil giant owns those same rights. Under the stern eye of Admiral Morgan, the Navy SEALs bring in legendary Commander Rick Hunter. Their mission is to hammer Argentina's military and free the Falklands. For the fabled Hunter, the assignment strikes close to home. His English brother-in-law and an SAS special forces team are trapped on East Falkland, running from an Argentinean shoot-to-kill manhunt.

This book started out slow as he sets up the environment. Then four chapters into the book kicks it up. This story evolves the war of the Falkland island round two. War over oil, Brittan get slapped around. Great story, I didn’t want to put it down. Robinson always comes up with a winning story. I’m a fan!

This is a great book. Patrick Robinson is one of the best writers of Military fiction. His knowledge of the military is what makes this book a great read. I highly recommend this book and the whole series.

When you get used to George Guidall’s voice, another reader sounds weird. Good story, kept me engaged.

Where was George Guidall?

I am a big Patrick Robinson fan and love this story. But Erik Steele was terrible. Patrick Robinson characters are a little over the top but Erik Steele made them sound cartoonish. I have over 100 audiobooks and have listened to all of them multiple times. But I will never listen to this one again and will never listen to another book narrated by him Erik Steele.
Sorry Erik

Not only was the reader not George Guidall but he was not a good reader. I couldn't finish the book.

Bad reader

I have really enjoyed Patrick Robinson's Arnold Morgan series but the change from George Guidall to Erik Steele is just too drastic to enjoy the book. I sincerely hope Mr Robinson makes peace with Mr Guidall for the future.
The story line (to date) seems to be good but I am afraid I won't be able to finish the book without buying a hard copy.

Prepare yourself for a drastic change in narrating

I have listened to most of the books in this series and been thoroughly entertained. George Guidall hammered those stories home with so much skill with the character. I'm sorry but expecting that and then find myself listening to Erik Steele, was jolting. If I had never heard Mr. Guidall, it would probably be different but Mr. Steele's characterizations were just too different.
