An amazing series.

as a Navy man I love the series. it brought me back to my youth and kept me on the edge of my seat. It's some points it was slow but for the most part it was great. the family that this is centered around made me at times bristle with pride. I can't say enough about how good this series was overall.

Didn't know where it was all going at first, but as storyline developed across oceans Navy and Army engagements became clear in detail and the big picture.

Narration Seemed to change in book 3...

i have been take enjoying the books,... but something about the narration changed in book 3, not good. he seems fake, over exaggerated almost as if he's a game show host 'come on down!! you're the next contestant on the Price is Right!!'.. very strange. Wish he would have maintained the same vocal patterns and tone as the previous 2 books.

Let’s make war

It was a fantastically written book that provided a real insight into the possibilities of miscommunication and war

Wow!

I've never read one of Andrew Watts stories in the past and I am so glad this one came as a three-volume set. the first volume was good but the narrator had a little trouble getting his rhythm at the beginning and I'm not sure I would have continued but the second and third volumes are absolutely amazing. The narrator, once he finds his rhythm, actually turns out to be one of the best I've ever listened to for this type of story. His ability to ramp up the energy in his voice to perfectly match the stress and challenge of the story at any particular point in time turns out to be phenomenal. This is a story about something that actually could happen in our world. I highly recommend it.

Best description of helicopter air ops I've ever read

I'm a commercial helicopter pilot. Most authors botch badly anything related to aviation. I was struck by this author's accuracy - not just the techniques but the "feel" of piloting a helicopter. The Zen of flying hekicopters. Then, his bio at the end of story explained everything...

Really Great

I very much enjoyed the story and voices. Only reason for 4 stars is the narrative part sounds like a computer talking. But other than that I couldn’t turn it off!! WELL DONE!

had me hooked 1/3 the way in on the first book

when you are rushing through task that deal with humans just to read the next line or press play on audible you're hooked.
I was impressed with some of the details he outlined throughout the war planner series.

I would recommend this author to any thinking person, even crayon eaters.
