About this listen

Once, I was nothing. Hungry, abandoned, wandering, and alone. An adolescent street rat fighting for crumbs.

Then a chance encounter changed my entire world. A man in an expensive suit asked me how much my life was worth.

I didn't have an answer because I didn't know. He asked if I thought it was worth killing for.

Impulsively, I said yes....

He found me, then fostered me, and, in the interim, turned me into a killing machine. A modern day La Femme Nikita.

Now, I only have one mission. To avenge the death of the man who saved me.

There's an invisible war on the streets. Us against them. Family against family. Power against power.

They call me Ghostface Killer because they never see me coming.

I understand the weight of that danger. The hazard. The jeopardy. Because, now, here I stand, three months pregnant with the barrel of a gun pressed to my head because I never saw him coming....

GFK is a romantic suspense with dark elements. Listener discretion is advised.

Ghostface Killer was great!

Would you listen to Ghostface Killer again? Why?

Yes I would listen to this story again and again. It was a ton of twist and turns that kept me on edge. Stevie was a bad a$$!!

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

After the first surprise I didn't know when the next one was going to happen.. it was full of twist. Stevie was a foster kid who was turned in to a killer and that kept me interested. I can't say to much without giving away the story. I recommend if you like hot alpha males and strong women.

What does Muffy Newtown and Jacob Morgan - epilogue bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Muffy made the book hilarious that I wouldn't have been able to do reading it.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

yes I would of loved to listen to this in one sitting.

Mind Blowing

M Never is an author that will always tell a story with so many layers, you are never even close to the same place you started. And that is true for Ghostface Killer.

Stevie is an orphan that is brought into a mob family and turned into a killer. She is such a badass. Scared of nothing and no one, emotions turned off and seemingly content with her life. Until one of her hits turns out to be the one person she just can't kill, Baz. The lies and the secrets between Stevie and Baz are eventually exposed and you will never suspect where this story ends up.

I loved everything about this book. It gripped me from the beginning and held me there, by the throat, gasping for air, just trying to breath my way through until the end. Every time a new secret was exposed, I let out an audible exhale because I was so engrossed. This isn't a warm and fuzzy book. It's not for the light hearted. It's dark and gritty and difficult and... just, DARK.

Muffy Newtown did amazing. She WAS Stevie. I truly felt her become this character and of course she did an amazing performance of all the other characters as well. She is an excellent narrator.

Jacob Morgan ONLY narrates the epilogue. A lot of people are angry because he is listed as a narrator and only narrates that tiny bit. I understand and there's probably a better way of listing a narrator that only narrates an epilogue. But now that a few people have listed, you are forewarned.

5 🌟 Is not enough!! An amazing ride.

A complete and utter wild ride worth of every acolade. A very strong female lead with a backstory that is very sad yet it gives the reader an insight into a broken soul who finds healing in the most unlikely of places. The narration is completely stellar and beyond amazing. Muffy Newtown delivers in spades!! M. Never really has a gift for plotting and for making the reader go through her story with faith so she then can slap you with twists and turns. An amazing audio. A serious top 5 for me this year.

enjoyed this book!

great story, however Jacob didn't narrate until the last chapter, but it didn't take away from the story, I was so emotionally invested in this story, I was pulled in and was on a rollercoaster throughout the book, muffy was a perfect choice to narrate this book, I can't stress enough how good narrative makes or breaks a audio book, kudos to the author for writing a engaging, well thought out story loved it!

interesting but predictably

I am still trying to figure out why this book got such high ratings. The story itself was predictable and sophmoric. She is very explicit and her sex scenes are over the top and too much for my taste. okay at first then way over the top. She should be writing porn and leave the thrillers to the professionals.

On the edge

Really liked this book but it is pretty nauseating at times with its graphic nature. Really disappointed Jacob only reads the epilogue. It could have been so much more unless the author is going to do it from the Bass point of view.

raw and powerful

I finished listening to this book a while ago and it took me a while to gather my thoughts. It is a gripping story, dark and raw, not for sensitive minds, but with a happy ending. It evokes a myriad of emotions, the story has a lot of twists I didn't see coming. I am glad they found and have each other, Stevie and Baz make a great couple, they deserve the HEA.
One of my fave voices, Ms. Newton gave the characters life with passion it is hard not to love the story. Mr. Morgan has a great voice, but has only a small script at the end, not sure why, it is unusual.

Wow!

While this book starts out very dark, to the point that I wasn't sure I was going to like the direction it was going, that all changes very fast. Just get past the first chapter and you're going to get wrapped up in the story of the Ghostface Killer. There are big emotional ups and downs with twists and turns that will have you gasping out loud.
M. Never does not disappoint with the suspense and drama sprinkled throughout this book.
My only complaint (and it's not even a complaint) was that we don't get to hear Jacob Morgan until the epilogue, I would have enjoyed hearing some of the chapters from his POV.

Ghostface Killer

This book started out with... just wow! It was a non-stop thrilling ride to go on. There were so many twists, turns, ups, and downs. I enjoyed every single second of Stevie and Baz’s journey.
Muffy Newton was an absolutely amazing narrator, she did a fantastic job of actually becoming Stevie, she truly brought all the characters to life. Hearing Jacob Morgan in the epilogue just made this book even better.
