Publisher's summary

Seven women have disappeared from bars only to be found murdered after asking for an angel shot. Detective Rick McCoy is handed the case after returning from leave following his wife's horrific ordeal at the hands of the serial killer PPP.

Criminal psychologist Patricia Holmes lost her husband to the same killer and when her current partner makes her life miserable she jumps at the chance to work with Rick again. When they determine a man currently jailed for the crimes could not have committed them the mystery deepens.

But that is the least of Rick's worries. An imaginary alter ego appears warning him his wife is suicidal. Will they be able to solve the riddle of the angel shot before another victim loses her life and save his wife from taking hers?

I'm glad I stuck with the series

I wasnt impressed with the first book, but I happy that I stuck with the series. The character development is fantastic.

Best in a great Series

Another great thriller from Australian Author Stephen B King.
Every bit as good as that other guy. King leads us through detailed police action, while exposing the background and development of the Perpetrators upbringing, and psyche ,providing a unique but complete picture of the whole drama. The plot is ingenious, combining modern day issues of protection of females in the world of danger filled dating. King continues his release of great murder/analysis stories from his first book, “Glimpse Memoir of a serial killer” , followed by “Glimpse, the beautiful deaths” and “Glimpse the tender killer”. Add to this the release of “Domin8”, a dark story of internet sex, and you have a great series, but without a doubt The Angel Shot is the best. Love the Aussie accent of the narrator too, brings the terror to life.

Not unlistenable, but also not Stephen King.

Thank goodness for the Audible return policy! I bought this thinking I’d be transported to a frightening tale of serial murders. Instead, it was like the Hallmark channel made for TV movie of serial murder investigation. The narrators Australian accent did leave me weirdly disconnected from the female protagonist. I kept asking myself where do women think and act like this?!
