About this listen

A brand new romance from Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author Sarina Bowen!

Livia

Once upon a time I spent an evening flirting with a handsome stranger in a bar. But before we could finish what we started, I lost my nerve and fled.

Months later, I’m minding my own business at work one morning when a stranger lets himself into the empty brewery. Panicked, I call 911, and the cops show up to slap on the handcuffs.

In my defense, I have very good reasons to be afraid. Also in my defense, I’d never met my boss’s son.

Or so I’d thought…

Nash

I don’t know what this chick has against me. First she ditches me, and now she wants to arrest me.

Livia is as frustrating as she is hot. But nobody else knows the brewery better than she does. Now we’re stuck together, sharing an office and a very small house as I run the brewery for six weeks for my cranky dad.

That’s just enough time to bring down her guard. Turns out we have a lot more in common than we thought, including a lot of smoking hot chemistry. Until Livia’s past catches up with her, and I finally figure out why she’s so jumpy. But I’ll stop at nothing to protect her, unless her ex finds her first…

Loved Nash and Livia!

loved Nash's return to the family brewery, and Livia regaining her freedom!

Golden Touch by Sarina Bowen is a rollercoaster ride of a story that you rooting for the good guys and true love the entire time. I loved the world and intrigue that Sarina created, and she delivered a thoroughly satisfying romantic suspense.

Nash and Livia were clearly destined to be. They met and were immediately captivated by each other, but it wasn't their time. Now that they're in each other's orbit again, their attraction can't be denied. When Livia's complicated past threatens their future, Nash work hard to make sure Livia doesn't run, and that she regains control of her life again.

This was a great story, and the audio has amazing narration by Samantha Brentmoor and Tim Paige, is perfectly suited to the characters and the story. I really love how much emotion they bring to the characters, and how they really make you feel the story, rather than just hearing the story.

Golden Touch: Giltmaker Book 2

I really loved this story! I loved it so much, that when the audio app Sarina uses began to get all kinds of twitchy, I just flipped to reading because I WAS IN IT. Will I be going back to listen to the audiobook asap? Yes, I will, as one does! :)

This story leaned heavy on the suspense but I don’t think it took away from the romance. It’s just different from what I’m used to by Sarina, and it gave me The Company kinda vibes and I am here for all of that!

I really enjoyed how easy the bond, or some would say chemistry, between our MCs developed from the beginning and continued until the end. I think Sarina making that choice is what solidified their realistic ever after for me, because again, the story leaned heavy on the suspense, and that was all about our FMC. Hopefully I’m explaining correctly, but from the beginning these two sparked and sparred and it gave me great joy and belief that they were gonna make it. Feel me?

Once I started reading, I did not stop. It was an entire afternoon and evening, but this is one of those stories that you will push to read in one sitting. It’s fast-paced and suspenseful and all kinds of flirtatious. I cannot wait to get Samantha Brentmoor and Tim Paige back in my ears to re-experience this story!

UPDATE 08/01: Sarina was gracious enough to provide an audible code for me to listen to this story and PEOPLE, the suspense arc of the story was even better and so was their romance journey! Samantha Brentmoor and Tim Paige are two of my favorite narrators and they brought this story to life so brilliantly that I have no words! I mean I just read it like a month or 2 ago but I found myself completely riveted once again! I think I even picked up some details I hadn’t picked up on when I read it! This is one of those times when I 100% recommend you grab this book in audiobook format if you can! Do with that information what you will :)

Must listen to

I loved listening to this book. I love how Livia and Nash meet. They had seen each other before and flirted but he didn’t get te chance to meet her. This time when they do meet it’s hilarious. But you also understand why Livia acts the way she does.
Nash’s dad is beyond grumpy. And I love how Livia handles him and gets him to listen to his son, to at least let him talk. I love what he calls Livia and the way he treats her. The things he does to make her feel safe shows you just how much she means to him.
Livia’s ex is a real piece of work. What he’s done to her and how he has her running and not trusting anyone is horrible. Her mother wasn’t any better with the things she said to her.
I’m glad Livia meets Nash. Her brother, urgh he needs someone to straighten him out.
She might not have anyone but she’s finally found people that care about her. And she’s got some hot chemistry going on with Nash.
Livia’s stronger and braver than she gives herself credit for. Nash is always there when she least expects him to be.
I love how it was brought to life and listening to Livia and Nash.
This a must listen to.

Another hit from Sarina!

And now I can’t wait for the next Sarina Bowen book in this series. Great narrating!
Did anyone else pause and go on an Internet search for Chocolate Sour Cherry Bundt Cake? 😂 🙋‍♀️ Alas, I did not find a recipe with that exact name.

I loved this small town romance!

This story has all the parts of why I love to read romance!

Small town, family business, cranky Dad that is sick, the not favorite son gets called to help, and a mysterious new employee.

Nash is the son that arrived home to help the family business during a crisis. Livia is the mysterious employee. They met once before in a bar and flirted using songs from the jukebox. She ghosted him and was the woman that got away.

There is some mild suspense as Livia works through an issue from the past. A jaw dropping event. Snarky banter and major swoon.

Loved!

It was so great being back in this world!!!

Livia has so bad baggage she’s running from and I totally understood why she was so private and closed off. I love that Nash is able to crack her open though! She was the grumpy and he brought the sunshine and I loved their dynamic! Nash is so great and has such a dirty mouth! I loved it! Their chemistry was absolutely amazing!

I loved seeing previous characters from other series and ones being mentioned. I also loved how this whole story built up, it had me on the edge of my seat and then the way it resolves! It was all just so great! And the narrators were awesome!

The narration was top-notch!

I really enjoyed Good as Gold, the first book in author Sarina Bowen's Giltmaker series, so I was super excited to dive into Golden Touch. I adore a little suspense with my romance so Livia and Nash's story was fantastic and done so well. I've always been fascinated by the brewery process, so I love that this series is set in the Giltmaker family brewery because I've actually learned a lot as I read. The narration by Tim Paige and Samantha Brentmoor was top-notch. Although it was nice to catch up with characters from the first book, Golden Touch can absolutely be read as a standalone, although I do think you'll want to go back and read the first book after devouring this one.

Just right!!

I'm a huge fan of Sarina Bowen and honestly get so excited with every release-Golden Touch was no different. I loved getting to dive back into the Giltmaker universe and was hooked from start to finish with this book.

Nash and Livia were such interesting characters to me. Like I said, I was hooked right from the start, wondering immediately what was going on with Livia. I wanted to hug her and help her figure things out. Nash had me grinning. These two provided such a perfect balance to each other and I was all in rooting them on.

I felt like I could live in this little world. The narrating team of Samantha Brentmoor and Tim Paige just brought everything to life so vividly! They embodied the characters well and really performed all the heat, banter and wit in this one perfectly.

If you haven't read Sarina Bowen yet what are you waiting for?! Books like Golden Touch are the perfect example of why she's an automatic one click, pre-order author for me! Check this one out!

Just wonderful

I can always count on Sarina Bowen to suck me in. Over the last few months I've really struggled to read. Really over the last year I've talked about my fear of losing the love of this hobby I've always had. It was nice to really enjoy a book.

I figured I would like Golden Touch because Sarina has never let me down. But I was still a little scared (see above). I shouldn't have been.

Livia and Nash were so easy to immediately connect with. While I wanted them to get together, I equally cared about their individual journeys. That's something I really like about Sarina's books. She's very skilled at creating fully developed characters.

The romance was also well-done. Sarina is an expert at writing characters with physical chemistry, but not relying on that. Nash especially made a lot of effort to get to know Livia and almost become her friend first.

This had some romantic suspense elements to this one. Livia is hiding from her ex-boyfriend and his motorcycle club. A lot of tension comes from that.

There was a little bit of sequel bait. Or at least I hope I'm right about the next couple, because I love that woman. I need more about her. So fingers crossed!
