Not worth it

While this is a great book, without seeing the pages it’s not worth the credit. Kids have no idea what is happening at the end of the book. If you have a hard copy to read along with, great! But if you have a hard copy to read along with, why would you need the audible?

Keep in mind I'm reviewing the AUDIO version

What disappointed you about Good Night, Gorilla?

It should have never been produced as an audiobook without synced images. With so little actual text, my 4-yr-old grandson kept asking, "what's happening now, Nana?" We enjoyed the sound effects but had no idea what was going on. I later found the hardback book at the library and my grandson LOVES it as a picture book. So much so, I think I'll probably buy a copy for his bookshelf at my house. He was sad when we had to return it to the library.

Would you ever listen to anything by Peggy Rathmann again?

Yes, if it's produced with images.

What aspect of Anthony Edwards’s performance would you have changed?

The performance was actually good, we were just not able to follow the story at all...no fault of the narrator.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointment and frustration in my grandson. He loves audiobooks both with and without images but he wanted to turn this one off in the middle.

Any additional comments?

Please reproduce this with images so we can enjoy the sound effects and narration! Otherwise I'd only recommend buying it if you have a copy of the book for your child to "read along."

Horrible

Wish I wouldn’t have used my credit! There is nothing to it! Not even a good nighttime story!
