About this listen

The lock and canal systems of the U.S. and Canada designed for commercial vessels allows boat owners to cruise their boat in a continuous waterway around eastern North America that includes the Atlantic and Gulf Intracoastal waterways, the Erie and Canadian Heritage Canals, the Great Lakes, and inland rivers.

The 5,000+ mile route of the Loop Cruise follows historic seaport towns, natural wilderness, and coastal fishing communities on a navigable protected waterway that make it an adventure of a lifetime for boaters who dream of seeing the United States and Canada from the helm of their own boat.

We were lucky enough to make this journey on our 36-foot trawler, High Life, and chronicled our voyage. We hope you'll join us in this audiobook where we share what we saw, what we learned navigating the diverse conditions, and introduce you to cruisers, also doing the Loop, who we met along the way.

Useful content for Loop cruisers, delivered a bit too self assured w/ false drama.

I liked the voice and the stories. I wish it would be more informative and detailed.

Easy listeniing, too brief,

The narrator butchered the names of many towns and rivers around the Carolinas, that I'm familiar with. No telling if there were others. Otherwise, a great book .

Great story, other than mispronounciations

While I have to agree with critique of the narration, I don't think it diminished the over all enjoyment. I think it was very informative and a am really grateful to have found it. Planning our own loop, I found their account very helpful!

Informative

If your looking for any real information on cruising the loop or the proper pronunciations of term for objects and places, look elsewhere.

Information contained in this book was okay, but it was actually painful to listen to the narrator. Words and places mis-pronounced and the cadence was just read instead of told as a story. There was no useful information with regard to boating or the Great Loop, just the author's itinerary and social plans. Could have been an acceptable travelog-type audio experience if not for the narrator.

Painful to listen to.

Worst narration I've ever heard on Audible. Narrator did not take time to research the correct pronunciation for many nautical terms, rivers, ports, and towns. It drove me crazy to listen to this although the authors have a nice story and good info to share.

Incompetent Narrator
