Good Rendering of a Classic

First the narrative is very well done and nicely matches tone of the content extremely well. This was my first experience with Lovecraft and very much enjoyed it. The stories are creative and keep the listener interested. The genre is horror, which is quite mild by today’s standards, mixed with nascent science fiction. Am sure there is a great deal written about the author and his work and would not try to cover the topic here. That said for me personally I found the style and word use from the early 20th century as charming and unique. The pacing of the stories can be a little slow but very tolerable. It was well worth my time and knowing what I know now would have purchased/listen to these works again.

excellent narrator

Where does H.P. Lovecraft, The Complete Omnibus, Volume II: 1927-1935 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

The narrator understands the text well and can convey emotions effectively. Listening can be pretty immersive. Strongly recommend for Lovecraft fans.

Won't Download

I tried everything to get this to download and it just won't. Other books will download fine so it's not used error. I'm very disappointed.

H.P. Lovecraft greatness!

I really enjoyed both books if you don't have them you must pick them up. They tell you all of the HP Lovecraft floor including some collaborated work of Robert E Howard as well!

Absolutely LOVED it!!

I have previously read most if not all of H.P. Lovecraft's works. Therefore I was familiar with the stories but WOW. In audiobook form they're just fantastic. The narration is awesome. This is simply a terrific product.

excellent

Great stories. Good narration. Fine inflection. Reliably presented. Limitation to 15 words is quite annoying.

Great books, below average narrator

Just what the title says, narrator did not do the works justice. There are much better readings on YouTube of HP's works. i did love the biography that was contained in this volume though, really added some nice context to the stories.

Superb stories, terrific narration

I really love the narration. It was very well done! The stories themselves are the ultimate Lovecraft collection. This and the other volume are among the few things I listen to over and over. Great material, wonderfully presented.

As good as Vol. 1

I really can't get enough of these stories and the performance is perfect. I couldn't recommend more.
