About this listen

All I want is Hannah.

We've resonated, but she avoids me. She has made it very clear that she wants no mate, whether he has two arms or four. But when others leave the Icehome beach camp for a getaway to a fruit-filled cave, Hannah wants to go, and she needs a companion.

Me.

For the first time, we talk...and I realize my female isn't as good at ignoring me as she thinks. She watches me with hungry eyes. She blushes at my bold words. When I touch her? She no longer runs away.

It is time I show her that a Strong Arm hunter can be the right mate for her, and that four arms can hold her twice as closely as two.

Good book

I can’t get enough of this series. I like the dual narration even if some of the names were mispronounced. I can’t wait for the next book to come out on audible.

Hannah and J’shel.

This one isn’t my favorite of the series, but as usual Ruby Dixon puts out great stuff. I really like J’shel, but Hannah takes a bit more to like. Although I get why she is the way she is. I like the Old Grandfather aspect of the story. And of course, there is lots of smexy times. Narrators are great.

Ice Home Vacation!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙
Romance: 💚🖤💙❤️💜
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘📔
World building: 🪐🛸🚀☄️🌒
Character development: 😞👽🥰👽😌

The heroine: Hannah - she has always had low self esteem and felt like she wasn’t good enough because others were always prettier, skinnier and able to do things she wasn’t. Though she was about to become a huge deal on Earth and she takes longer than most to get over the idea that she can’t return home. She tries to take her mind off her homesickness by keeping track of the camp’s supplies and suffers from anxiety because there are so many people in their camp and not a larger store of food for all of them during the brutal season. She resonated to J'shel, but doesn’t want it, so she rebuffs him.

The Hero(es): J'shel - He is one of the ‘Strong Arm’ tribe, which means he has four arms. He thinks it was his fault that his tribe mate N'dek lost one of his legs and feels tremendous guilt for it. He resonated to Hannah early on but as she ignores him, he stays away from her but watches her and looks for solutions to his predicament.

The Story: Hannah thinks nobody understands what she is going through. She feels that she isn’t athletic, has no life skills and feels like she can’t contribute. Her anxiety and her obsessive need to control a situation had inadvertently made people dislike her. She is extremely attracted to J’shel but doesn’t know him and just wants to go home.

I loved the fact that J’shel is so patient and understanding, but makes no bones about telling Hannah that she isn’t the only one feeling loss. While she is mourning her home and lost career, he is mourning his entire family who died when the volcano erupted and his home when it erupted again.

Like most of the others in this series, this is told in dual points of view via dual narration by Sean Crisden and Felicity Munroe. These narrators do a great job, but I wish these were done in duet narration where the female narrator does all the female parts and the male does all the male parts. Like all the other books, I like the fact that there is some adventure to a cave that is like a hothouse jungle, a great story where the characters grow and change.

I just can’t with Hannah.
Too many self pity.
Too many selfishness.
Hannah needs to just stop.

Hannah is annoying! No offense 🤷🏾‍♀️

Granted, I understand the need to be on control because I am the same way. But there is a way of being in control of 'yourself' and not involving others so you don't come off as a nuisance. She literally is a nuisance. Thank gawd J'shel finally wrote her down. Geez!
